Sharp Releases Updated Mebius Notebooks with Vista |
Sharp has recently updated its Mebius line of notebook computers with three new basic designs into 5 models which all include the new Windows Vista OS from Microsoft, among a few other nice hardware upgrades.
The Mebius PC-WT70S features a Turion 64 X2 processor (1.60GHz), up to 2GB of memory, 100GB HDD and 1,280Ã-800 resolution on a 15.4 inch screen. A lithium ion battery give it up to 1.2 hours of run time and the highest end version has dimensions of 360Ã-258Ã-36.7mm and weighs approximately 2.6kg.

SavitMicro has just released a nice solution for backing up your flash memory cards when out on the road. The SPACE HyperDrive is a 2.5″ HDD enclosure which has slots to support 18 different types of memory cards.
SanDisk has released another new MP3 player to their Sansa line of devices. The Sansa Connect is a 4GB MP3 player with WiFi connectivity and a 2.2″ TFT display screen.
Panasonic has recently unveiled two new high definition camcorders with some big screen features in tiny packages. The HDC-SD1 and HDC-DX1 are similar camcorders but both record high def in slightly different ways. The HDC-DX1 (pictured on the left) records onto DVD discs, and the HDC-SD1 records onto small (in size not capacity) SDHC memory cards.
Panasonic has come out with the latest in small AVCHD camcorders which will record High-Def video. The video is recorded onto a 4GB SDHC memory card that can hold between 40 and 90 minutes of video depending on the Mbps that the video is recorded at, and it has a battery that allows continuous recording for up to 65 minutes.
Today Cingular announced the release of the 8525 PDA, which is the first smart phone or PDA in the US to be UMTS/HSDPA enabled, as well as the first mobile device in the US to offer users 3G capabilities in both the U.S. and in many other countries around the world. Cingular’s BroadbandConnect service is available in the US and over 100 other countries around the world, and Cingular plans on continuing to expand this 3G coverage with GSM providers in the coming years.
The Nokia 6133 mobile phone became the latest of many available from T-Mobile USA recently. The 6133 is a clam shell design with a 1.3 megapixel camera and video recorder, integrated music player and T-Mobile’s “myFaves” service, which lets you call 5 different predefined numbers unlimited in the US.
