Pillow-filled clothing for those late nights at the office

Pillow-filled clothing for those late nights at the officeLate nights at the office just got a lot fluffier thanks to this concept from Polish designer Maja Ganszyniec that turns your collar, tie and sleeve into a pillow and looks very very comfortable. So whether you finish your work and slowly lay your head down or just plain pass out, it’s all good.

You work hard, so why not dress soft? Serta or some other bed manufacturer needs to start churning out clothes like this and completely cover us. I don’t know about you, but I want to live in a world where everyone looks a little more like the Stay-Puft marshmallow man.

Creative Vado HDWhen my four-year-old daughter was born most camcorders available still used tapes to record video. The tapes were Mini DV, not the massive VHS tapes from my youth, but tapes nonetheless. Today tapes are quickly going the way of the Dodo with most camcorders using hard drivers or flash media for storage.

Creative has announced that its Vado HD camcorder is now shipping at a price of $199. The small camcorder records in 720p HD resolution and video can be output directly to a HDTV in 1080i resolution over an included HDMI cable.

AU Optronics delivers anorexic mobile display

Posted in Displays, Mobile Phones by Conner Flynn on October 19th, 2007

AU Optronics has world’s thinnest 1.9-inch mobile device panelAU Optronics must be following in the footsteps of the fashion industry. Their displays keep getting thinner and thinner as they improve on the design. Back in June, they developed a screen with a sub-one-millimeter border and now they are at it again, claiming that they have the “world’s thinnest 1.9-inch mobile device panel” at 0.69-millimeters. To give you a visual frame of reference, they describe it as being “13-percent slimmer than a credit card.”

When they say thin, they mean it. Apparently that measurement does not include a protective covering. It only weighs 2.2-grams and has a brightness of 400 nits. The display is also said to have superior anti-glare properties and retain proper image color saturation and can be easily seen under sunlight.
