If you’ve ever dreamed of ripping out the guts of an Acer Aspire Timeline 1810 laptop and replacing the CULV processor with a newer, faster, Core i5 chip, then what you get is the Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T. Some images and details of the notebook have just started leaking and judging by the specifications, it will have been well worth the wait.
No info on pricing just yet, but Acer will be officially announcing this laptop in late March. Some specifications include an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 pixel display, Intel Core i5-520UM processor with a clock speed ranging from 1.06GHz to 1.86GHz, Wi-Fi, HDMI, S/PDIF, Optional Bluetooth, Optional 3G modem, and a decent 8-hour battery life.


This winter Olympics are set to kick off this winter. I can’t imagine what sort of undertaking hosting the Olympic games is. I am sure that it take hoards of computers though. Acer is a worldwide Olympic partner and the company has unveiled some special edition hardware to celebrate.
Acer has announced the Acer Aspire Timeline AS1810TZ notebook which sports an 11.6″ screen with an HD resolution and is LED backlit. This one has a full sized keyboard and delivers up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge.
eMachines just dropped a trio of full-size desktops. The ET1300-02, ET1810-01 and ET1810-03 all sport a bland white mini-tower and come with a matching LCD monitor, speakers and keyboard. Let’s take a look at specs: The $449.99 ET1300-02 features an AMD Athlon X2 4850e (2.5GHz) CPU, Vista Home Premium, NVIDIA’s GeForce G100 (512MB), 3GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB hard drive, 18x SuperMulti DVD burner, multicard reader, HDMI / DVI / VGA outputs and an 18-inch E182H display.
