Posted in MP3 by Conner Flynn on April 5th, 2009

Ribbit MP3 player from Toys R UsWell, this is certainly the strangest MP3 player we’ve seen this week. Too bad they didn’t go all Kermit the Frog with this guy. They may have actually sold more. The Toys R Us ‘Ribbit’ MP3 player comes with five play modes (normal, repeat one, repeat all, folder, repeat folder). And an eight-mode equalizer.(normal, rock, pop, classical, bass, jazz, soft, and SRS WOW)

It also sports a high-speed USB 2.0 interface, play-list function, and support for seven languages. A built-in rechargeable Lithium Ion battery is the power source. Not bugs. You’ll get up to six hours of continuous playback with a fully charged battery.

iPhone gets Xenon flash from Snapture

Posted in Accessories by Shane McGlaun on December 24th, 2008

Snapture iPhone FlashI have tried on a few occasions to take pictures with my iPhone. It seems that no matter how brightly lit the room is, the camera simply can’t take a shot that’s not dark and grainy. Many other high-end camera phones offer a built-in flash, but so far, Apple has not added that feature.

Snapture offers editing software designed to run on the iPhone and it has now announced a new polycarbonate case that not only protects the iPhone from damage, but also adds a bright Xenon powered flash.

Energizer Solar Recharger charges batteries, USB gadgets

Posted in Chargers by Conner Flynn on December 23rd, 2008

Energizer Solar Recharger charges batteries, USB gadgetsEnergizer’s Solar Recharger looks like an odd device. It looks like it could be an iPod battery extender, a AA charger or even a Solar adapter. And it actually is all of the above. Mainly, it’s a battery charger for standard rechargeable AA and AAA batteries and is primarily powered by an AC jack that’s assisted by a flip-out solar panel. The USB port can power your connected gadget and the Solar Charger will act as an extended battery for almost any USB-powered device, like your iPod for instance.

The beauty of this device is that through the use of cheap rechargeable batteries, Energizer sell it for just $50, with 2 AAs included. Some other features include weatherproofing and a rotating solar panel.

Hello Kitty strikes again with HK Flip Mino

Posted in Camcorders by Conner Flynn on December 15th, 2008

Hello Kitty strikes again with HK Flip MinoHas anyone cross-referenced the prophecies of Nostradamus with Hello Kitty? Because I’m pretty sure she’s the Anti-Christ. Anyhow, the kitty is back thanks to Pure Digital Technologies’ Flip Video lineup getting all Hello Kitty-fied with the Mino and MinoHD. Like their un-kitti-fied cousins, the camcorders sport one-touch video recording, a built-in USB port, and can record 60 minutes of video with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

Most importantly for those willing to worship at the kitty altar, the camcorders come in eleven different Hello Kitty designs. Apparently, the price will be $179.99 for Mino and $229.99 for MinoHD, which is the same price as without the kitty graphics.
