FastMac’s wall socket that offers a pair of standard 110V power outlets along with two USB ports is finally shipping. If you ordered early enough, chances are you’ve already gotten a confirmation email and it is on it’s way.

You still have to be patient, as the site promises a three to four week delivery time for orders placed today, but at least things are moving nicely. It won’t be long before you are using standard plugs and USB side by side.

This is one of many devices expected at the upcoming MWC. It’s called the Galaxy Mini (S5570) and though we already knew of the existence of the device, this is the first time that the phone has been pictured.

So what do we know about it? The phone has been certified by China’s FCC-like agency and will feature a 262K 240×320 resolution screen, TouchWiz UI, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, microSD card slot and it runs Android 2.2.1. The measurements are 110.42×60.76×12.68mm.

If you have more money than common sense, here is your new phone. Vertu and Ferrari have teamed up to produce this latest luxury phone. It features a 2-inch QVGA sapphire crystal display and quadband 3G.

The case is made from forged titanium with a matte black PVD finish and the same hand stitched leather as the interior of the car itself. You better hurry if you want one though. Only 2,011 will be made. Very clever.

Wouldn’t you like to “future proof” your gadgets? Sure, we all would. And now we can, thanks to Best Buy’s Buy Back program. It will allow users to trade in their laptops, netbooks, tablets or smartphones for a percentage of the device’s original value. The company calls it “future proofing”. We call it, getting something for your old gadget, instead of just tossing it and getting nothing.

The Buy Back Program will start later this month and will cost $69.99 for laptops, netbooks and tablets. It’s $59.99 for mobile phones. When your device is covered, Best Buy will purchase the product back anytime within two years and you may receive up to 50 percent of the product’s original purchase price, paid back to you in the form of a Best Buy gift card, valid for six months.

The PlayStation Phone has found its way into the hands of some folks and now a video has popped up showing one of these lucky guys playing Resident Evil 2 and Rage Racer on it. The hardware seems legit, but the titles had to be loaded through ROM Buddy (a third-party Android app for running ROMs), so we are guessing that the software is still being worked on.

Why do so many people think that gamers are unhealthy? Because we sit there playing for hours, not getting any exercise and eating junk food? That’s probably it. Well, now the Entertainment Consumers Association (ECA) wants to help gamers get healthier.

It has created an initiative called Gamers for Health, which will provide ECA members and the gaming community with the tools and resources necessary to help incorporate healthy living into gamer lifestyles.

Whether you think we need video phones in our homes or not, you have to admit they are cool. Leadtek knows this and so they have announced the US launch of the AMOR8210. It’s already pretty popular in Taiwan. Will it make waves here?

Some of the features include a cordless handset, VoIP and regular telephone support (using RJ45 and RJ11 ports), widgets like audio and video players, and even integration with other devices for surveillance and health monitoring. We think it sounds pretty nifty.

Looks like Dell will be launching a new Latitude 2120 netbook at CES next week. The 2120 is said to have specs identical to the previous 2110, but it packs double the power thanks to a dual core N550 processor. It features 3 and 6 cell battery options, a 10.1 inch display (with an optional touchscreen), 1 to 2GB of RAM, USB, Ethernet, and VGA ports.

The other interesting news about this latest Latitude is that it gets an optional Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator. There’s no info about price or availability just yet though.

Golfers will love these Golf Ball Speakers. They are called ‘Shinekkusuinfotekku’ and will look good on any golfer’s desk. It has a diameter of 42.5 mm and weighs just 25 grams. It also comes with a stand so it won’t roll around everywhere.

That’s not all. It comes with voice messages from Japanese comedian Serizawa and the battery is rechargeable and provides up to six hours of continuous play on a full charge. It can also be charged using USB.

This compact game console is shaped like Sonic the Hedgehog’s spiky blue head and plays some classic 16-bit SEGA Genesis games and even comes with Wii-like motion controllers. They are trying super hard here to get your money and they are going to have to try harder if they want mine.

Despite the “110+” claim, the system comes with a total of 40 games. There are 15 classic licensed games, 7 “interactive sports games”, and 18 “arcade games”. The system ships with a pair of wireless controllers, which look like they have traditional D-pads and also motion control.

No gadget is safe from a teardown from iFixit. Now they have dismantled the new Boxee. So what did the teardown reveal? Well, a lot of the internal component space is taken up by the huge heatsink needed to cool the Boxee Intel CE4110 processor, the 1GB of RAM, 1GB of flash memory, and a digital-to-analog audio converter.

So in the end, iFixit gave the Boxee a repair score of 7 /10, since the separate power board can be replaced independently from the motherboard, should it ever fail and need to be replaced.

Onkyo’s latest all-in-one desktop PC for the Japanese market comes with something extra, a built-in iPod/iPhone dock. This model is called the DE715 and features a 23-inch 1920 x 1080 display, along with a 3.06GHz Intel Core i3-540 processor.

Some other features include a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics card, 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a Blu-ray drive, multi-format card reader, a TV tuner, WiFi, an HDMI port and Windows 7 Home Premium runs the show.

As if it wasn’t already great to work for Google, the company has announced that they will be offering their employees a 10% pay increase starting in 2011. CEO Eric Schmidt said in his email to over 23,000 employees, that the raise is in addition to a $1,000 holiday bonus.

One reason for their generosity is to help prevent their talented employees from going to other companies. Last month, Google Chief Financial Officer Patrick Pichette said that the Internet industry is waging a “war for talent,”. Looks like he was right.

Get ready for a whole bunch of smartbooks headed your way, powered by Google’s Chrome operating system. They are coming in November. Google is positioning themselves to launch their own-brand Chrome notebook in the same way they launched their Nexus One smartphone.

The first shipments are expected to be anywhere from 60,000 to 70,000 units, running on an ARM-based platform. But with all of the tablet madness, why bother? We hope they feature something to set them apart.

TomTom has announced a pair of new satnavs that bring new hardware as well as updated software. Some of the new software features include pinch-to-zoom and a swipe to screen function. The route calculation has also been upgraded. The new route planning section of TomTom can now calculate routes instantly.

Other features include: Crisp, sharp graphics and intuitive user menus, Bluetooth hands free calling, Voice recognition, a click & lock mount and 4.3” or 5” glass touch screens.
