I love pinball, but I don’t think I’m lazy enough to play it vertically…with a remote. Okay, maybe I would. There may be a few benefits to upright pinball: Like not hurting your back, being able to sit comfortably, it saves space in your home etc. But at $119.95 it’s cheaper to play one of the many far superior console versions of pinball. Plus that HUGE remote isn’t a winning me over. No, it’s not a good idea to play pinball in this sacrilegious manner. You will look like a tool because that’s what you are.

We’ve seen our share of multi-tools, but I don’t think we’ve ever seen a multi tool pen before. My guess is that this would be MacGuyver’s pen of choice. It’s got so many useful tools inside, it will definitely get you out of a jam and help you build a plane out of duct tape and porn mags.

Tools include a Ballpoint Pen, Hole Puncher, Stainless Steel File, Short Cutting Blade, Flat Screwdriver, Wire Sleeve Remover/Small Nail Remover, Ear Pick(wtf), Long Cutting Blade, Tweezer, Philips Screwdriver, Stainless Steel Fork and Saw. It’s worth a shot at only $14.95. You never know when you’re going to need a pen AND a fork at the same time. And there’s always the rare occasion when you need both and an ear pick.

This toaster is different. The cage on top spins so that your buns can get perfectly toasted on all sides. Now, I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that this would be the perfect spa type accessory for your hamster. That tubby furball could stand to lose a few pounds right? Wrong. It would kill him. It’s for toast, it’s not a Richard Simmons hamster treadmill, though I hear that’s available too.

Now that we have that out of the way, this toaster even has a few heating drawers that will keep slices of toast crisp and warm. Hopefully it’s available in more colors. I’d like to see it in chrome, while I watch my buns battle it out in a steel cage match to the death.

EA has dominated the football video game genre for years and is the only NFL based video game available. EA is marking the release of Madden NFL 09 with a special event called Maddenpalooza that will celebrate the anniversary of the franchise and the launch of Madden 09.

EA says that Maddenpalooza is a celebration of music, sports and gaming fans and the event will be hosted at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on August 11. The event will run from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. the day prior to the official August 12 launch date for the game.

Hori just dropped the Real Arcade Pro EX arcade joystick for the Xbox 360 and it looks like it is a serious way to kick ass in fighting games as well as other old school games.

It gives you eight large action buttons and a ball-grip joystick that takes you back to the arcade. I was hypnotized when I saw this and went and got several rolls of quarters, which are now useless since I’ve come to my senses. Great for Xbox Live Arcade, despite the high price of $112.

Let’s say you’re riding your bike around town and suddenly you have the urge to launch tennis balls at something or someone. Thanks to this inventor, you can satisfy that urge and launch away. It’s completely eco-friendly too, built from two recycled bikes, scrap steel and wood, even a leaking water jug and a lacrosse stick.

Pretty simple but genius way to make a tennis ball launcher. As you pedal the bike, you power 2 other bike wheels that launch the balls. Perfect if you like to ride your bike to the Tennis court. Or just blast pedestrians and the like.

Good news for those who want more games on the iPhone. Super Monkey Ball has 110 stages and your choice of four monkeys. They showed a quick run-through during the keynote, and it looks like the graphics are superior to anything else on the phone. Pangea also demoed some games, like Enigmo and Cro-Mag Rally, where you can use the iPhone as the steering wheel. Some are describing the games as having very nice high-quality graphics, and being “totally playable”. Digital Legends was also on hand and demoed a God of War-type game that only took two weeks to develop. That one supposedly has graphics that fall between the DS and PSP. Expect that one in September.

Here’s another entry from Microsoft’s Next-Gen PC Design Competition. The AlphaGrip Handheld Computer (or AlphaGrip HC, for short), features full-size rocker keys on the front with a flip-up display and a keypad for thumb-typing. It also has a trackball for mousing and some buttons for “sophisticated PC games”.

Thing is, you may have noticed two things, both unappealing: It’s bulky and the top is shaped somewhat like a heart. I can’t imagine ever using this in public, but despite that fact, I like it. It took some imagination and looks a lot like the Atari Jaguar.

Having grown up with arcade games, I love playing some of the old school games with arcade sticks. If you’re like me and are looking for a good arcade stick for the Wii, look no further. The Wii version of the Neo Geo Stick 2 is an arcade-style, ball-top controller that was previously available for the PS2 from SNK-Playmore and Sega Logistics.

This new edition looks like it’s still got non-analog L and R buttons hugging the four primary convex buttons like parentheses. It would appear that they’ve decided to keep the classy black color too, which seems odd for the Wii, but it’s a beauty. It’s probably the best arcade stick I’ve seen for the Wii. You can get it right now for $59.90.

We thought we’d take a little break from the usual and take a look at some cool art cars that geeks have modded into their own visions of coolness. So here’s some random pimped out tonnage of pure nerd love coming at ya. When a nerd has a car, all things are possible…Though it will usually end up having something to do with the Star Wars universe.

We have a virtual catalog of Wii accessories in the archive, but this is the only one that looks like it could be used by a Ninja standing on top of a tall building. Of course, at night, the white color would probably give you away, but you’re a Ninja, just lose yourself in the shadows.

I’m not sure why they felt the need to have a ping-pong ball on the end, I guess they felt it looked too cool otherwise. A laser sight is included to make sure you beat all your high scores. It will cost you $28.

Like golf? Want a simulator that absolutely kicks ass? Got $55,000? Well, to quote Meatloaf, “Two out of three ain’t bad”. But if you do have 55 grand to burn, you might want to pick up this golf simulator called Full Swing Golf. Oh, you’ll also need a spare 20 x 13 x 10.5 foot room to park it in.

Once you’ve overcome those hurdles, you can practice your golfing skills from the comfort of your own home. The huge screen is actually powered by a windows based PC which will let you play on golf courses from around the world at the touch of a button. The picture is projected on the large screen and you basically hit balls onto it. Two 360 degree curtains of infra-red beams emit 60000 pulses per second and will track the trajectory, speed and other details of the ball. Check out a video after the jump.

Amazon today announced plans for an international rollout of the Amazon MP3 music download service to take place sometime yet this year. This announcement is probably the biggest threat to Apple’s mammoth iTunes to date as it likely to cause the reining media download leader to make some changes in coming months to keep up with the competition.

Once Sony BMG came onboard Amazon became the only online retailer to offer downloadable MP3’s from all of the four most major music labels that are all also DRM-free. Amazon MP3 now boasts over 3.3 million songs available with no restrictions on what player or computer the songs can run on, and no restrictions of how many places users can copy it to.

As if there weren’t enough Wiimote add ons, with light sabers and fishing rods and the like, now with the 18 in 1 sports pack, you’ll have one for every occasion.
