Fluid Computer Systems readies Windows 7 tablet for the holidays

If you don’t know that tablets are the hottest toy around this holiday season, you haven’t been paying attention. Fluid Computer Systems knows this and is working like tired little elves to make sure they can meet a pre-Christmas release deadline for their Windows 7 tablet.

1,000 of the multi-touch screen computers are currently being readied. These will feature a 10.1-inch display, Wi-Fi and Flash-friendly browsing. It’s your call as to whether the $599 pre-order asking price is worth it or not. You get 1GB of RAM, 160GB of storage, an Intel Atom processor and Bluetooth support.

ViewSonic VX2258wm Multi-Touch LCD Monitor

ViewSonic’s latest multi-touch LCD monitor is called the VX2258wm. Not a very exciting name, but this Windows 7 Touch certified 21.5-inch monitor delivers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 200 cd/m2 brightness and a 5ms response time.

It also features two built-in 2W speakers and has D-Sub, DVI, USB and 3.5mm audio in/out connectors. The ViewSonic VX2258wm is available for purchase right now at Amazon for $319.99.

If the Samsung Galaxy Tab is your tablet of choice, then you might want to check out the new Samsung KDDI SMT-i9100 Android tablet. The device is sexy looking and is powered by the Google Android 2.2 OS.

The SMT-i9100 features a 7-inch multitouch display with WSVGA resolution (1024×600), Wi-Fi, CDMA 1x, 3G, 4GB of internal memory, 512MB of RAM, Bluetooth, a microSDHC card and a 2MP digital camera.

Digital Photo Frame Lamp sheds some light on your photos

Digital picture frames just got a little crazier. Behold the Digital Photo Frame Lamp. A photo frame with a lamp attached. The long lasting, super bright LED lamp comes with an adjustable neck and an LCD screen for viewing your vacation images and whatnot.

The 3.5-Inch hi-resolution digital display features a 320 x 240 resolution with slide show function. It can hold over 1000 images. There’s also a digital clock, a calendar and a memory card.

Eken unveils new Android tablet

Another day, another tablet. This new Android tablet comes from Chinese-based company Eken and it is called the M005. The device sports an 8-inch 800 x 600 touchscreen TFT LCD display, 533MHz VIA MW8505 processor and 128MB RAM.

Other features include 2GB of flash storage, an SD card slot (up to 32GB), a webcam, a USB port, a headphone jack, WiFi and runs the Android OS. The Eken M005 sells for about $90 – $100.

Motorola Flipout announced on AT&T

The Motorola Flipout Android handset is finally debuting on AT&T in the U.S. The handset isn’t available yet, but users can sign up to get notified about when it will be offered at att.com/flipout. The Flipout features a 90-degree screen spin and an orange back battery cover, along with a 5-row QWERTY keyboard.

The Flipout runs Android 2.1, and has MOTOBLUR 1.5. There’s also a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, a 600 MHz TI OMAP 34100 processor, and support for HSDPA and EDGE bands on AT&T’s network.

Samsung P2770FH has a 1ms response time, costs $400

This 27-inch Samsung monitor is the first LCD to tout an amazing 1ms response time, halving the previous best in this category of 2ms. Pretty impressive. Not sure it will be noticeable though in daily use. With that great response time however, there is also a lack of stand adjustment and Samsung’s Touch of Color enclosure.

Other features include 1920 x 1080 resolution, 300 nits of brightness, HDMI input, and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. You can pick up the Samsung P2770FH later this month for just $400.

Acer Aspire AZ3100-U3072 All-In-One Desktop PC

Acer’s latest All-in-one looks pretty nice. The Aspire AZ3100-U3072 features with a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display, a 2.0GHz AMD Athlon II 170u processor, and a NVIDIA GeForce 9200 graphics card.

Other features include 3GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a webcam, a DVD drive, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, an HDMI port, two built-in speakers and it comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium for the OS.

Gateway whips out new ZX6951 and ZX4951 AIO computers

The desktop computer market has pretty much cooled off with most consumers looking to notebooks and netbooks for their computing needs today. The all in one computer is one of the most popular types of desktops and Gateway has announced a couple new AIO machines. The new AIOs include the Gateway One ZX4951 and ZX6951.

The two machines both share the same new design with a curved bottom that has lighting to make the keyboard glow in dark rooms. The main difference between the two is the 4951 has a 21.5-inch HD screen and the 6951 has a 23-inch screen. Both of the PCs can be fitted with Pentium or Core i3 processors.

LG 1080p 3D A510 notebook breaks cover

LG has announced a new notebook computer that has 1080p resolution and support 3D content called the A510. The new notebook is a 15.6-inch machine and its 3D screen uses passive glasses and is LED backlit. Power for the notebook comes from a range of processor options.

The options for CPUs include Core i5 840QM and 740GM, Core i5 580M, 560M, and 460M, as well as Core i3 380M and 370M processors. The notebook runs Windows 7 and comes with a normal pair of passive 3D glasses and a clip on set for those who wear glasses.

Dell Looking Glass Android Tablet caught on video

Dell’s upcoming Looking Glass 7-inch tablet wasn’t showing off in pictures when Michael Dell took it out the other day, but now a video of the event has surfaced, so we now have a better look at this Android device.

We can see a volume rocker on the side of the device, as well as a headphone jack, a possible PDMI connector port (like the Streak), and a switch that might be for rotation or to lock it. The device shows up after 1:27 in the video below.

HTC Mozart Windows Phone 7 specs leaked

More details have now surfaced on the HTC Mozart Windows Phone 7 smartphone. According the tipster, the WP7 phone features a Qualcomm SnapDragon 1Ghz processor, 576MB RAM, 512MB ROM and 8GB internal memory.

The Mozart also features a 3.7-inch WVGA Super LCD touchscreen, an 8 Megapixel camera with Xenon flash, Dolby Mobile, Bluetooth and WiFi. The phone will support dual-band 2100/900 UMTS/HSPA and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks.

HP has outed two new and attractive all-in-one desktop PCs in the TouchSmart 310 and Omni 100. The TouchSmart 310 features a 20-inch 1600 x 900 multitouch display, a 2.8GHz AMD Athlon II 240e dual-core processor, ATI Radeon HD 4270 integrated graphics, 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 1TB hard drive, webcam, DVD burner, TV tuner, a 6-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, two built-in speakers and Windows 7 is running the show.

The Omni 100 has a 20-inch 1600 x 900 non-touchscreen display, a 1.8GHz AMD Athlon II 260u dual-core processor, ATI Radeon HD 4270 integrated graphics, 3GB DDR3 RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a webcam, DVD burner, a 6-in-1 card reader, WiFi, two built-in speakers and Windows 7 as the OS.

LaCie 24-inch 324i professional IPS display

LaCie’s new 324i offers a premium feature set to go along with it’s premium price. Of course it’s aimed at creative pros who need a 10-bit P-IPS panel, exceedingly wide color gamuts (102 percent NTSC; 98 percent Adobe RGB), a slew of input connectors which include DVI-D, HDMI, component and DisplayPort, 178-degree viewing angles and an anti-glare coating.

The 24-inch panel features a 1920 x 1200 resolution, and the stand allows users to pivot the display for horizontal or vertical viewing. The picture quality is said to be absolutely stunning.

First BlackBerry Storm 3 picture leaked?

No one is safe from leaks. The latest leak is regarding RIM’s BlackBerry Storm 3. This isn’t 100% confirmation that this is the new Storm, but it’s what we have and it’s close enough.

There are no other full touchscreen BlackBerrys in production right now, so unless RIM has managed to keep something secret (Yeah sure) the phone above should be the Storm 3. In any case, it’s an interesting looking BlackBerry and it has our attention.
