RMT (Real Money Transfer) is the practice of selling virtual items obtained in games like World of Warcraft to other people for real money. The practice is somewhat controversial and is usually frowned upon by game publishers.

The online auction giant eBay has taken the step to remove RMTs from its auctions. One of the largest RMT sites is IGE.
