This device let’s your plant talk and share it’s feelings with the whole world over the Internet, and gets what the plant says posted on Twitter. It’s an electronic kit from Adafruit called Botanicalls Twitter Kit, which attaches to your plants, and conveys all the plants’ thoughts and messages to you via the Internet.

Those messages will be posted on Twitter, so you’ll know when they need water or have a lack of soil and minerals. I’m assuming they will feel free to curse you too, you non-watering bastard. So, now that plants can let us know, you can immediately care for them. Once the plant thoughts are posted on Twitter, you’ll get notificed in text messages on your mobile phone by Twitter.

The kit will cost you $160.

This device explains a long held theory of mine. Geordi LaForge was not blind, he was controlling remote-controlled vehicles when he should have been focusing on his engineering duties. The Pilot View FPV 2400 is designed for use with radio-controlled aircraft and cars.

There’s a wireless camera in the cockpit that sends live first-person footage to the freaky goggles that Fabio is wearing in the pic.(Wait that’s a gal. Sorry.) It’s a pretty awesome idea, but for $549, there are probably better ways to spend the money. And let’s face it, they need to up the design of the visor.

The Office 2007 SP1 has been available since December of last year but Microsoft has been careful about forcing it into the general population of Office users.

As they had done with Office 2003, they are giving a 30 day warning/notice that the automatic update is coming. They also said that not everyone will see it at the same time since they will rolling it out a little at a time to be sure that their servers can handle the download requests.

It appears that the folks in working with releasing the Microsoft OS’s could take a few notes from the careful consideration and planning that seems to take place with those releasing the Office package updates. Microsoft had a tough time releasing both XP SP3 and Vista SP1 due to compatibility problems which caused recent delays and confusion among consumers.

The NES Coffee Table is one of the coolest mods we’ve seen recently. Get this, it’s not just decorative. You can actually use it as a controller during game play, and it also provides excellent space for storing away all of your gaming gear.

There’s only one problem that I can see. It’s a conversation piece for sure, but once your guests see it, that’s ALL they are going to talk about, asking a zillion questions, like “how much?” and “will you make me one?”.
Check out a video below.

All had been quiet on the Chinese front, so I knew we were about due for another Wii knockoff. I guess the Vii and the Vii2 weren’t cutting it for cheapasses who want to play games, so they upped the ante.

China Shenzhen Firstsing Company Limited, a company who brought us an unnecessary cooling fan for the Wii(And probably some other wacky stuff), now gives us a 7-in-1 gaming console. It looks alot like the Wii. You’ll get amazing 16-bit graphics technology, as well as sports games that are “similar to those on the Wii, but more cheaper,”. They even threw in a wireless gamepad, and 2 remote controls that look oddly familiar. Looks like they’ve also done away with the old fashioned CD and replaced it with a small but long cutting edge cartridge. You’ll also get the shown attachments, so you can spank yourself after buying it. Better yet, have someone else do it while you say “Thank you sir. May I have another.”

Here’s a cool repurposing idea. It’s not very environmentally friendly, but it’s still awesome. You can reuse CDs as records. A guy named Aleks Kolkowski was at the UK’s Futuresonic festival last week and he brought his vintage record-cutting machine to carve sound tracks into old CDs and DVDs.

All people needed to do was bring an old disc and a sound file and he’d “overwrite” the CD with a track that can be played on a turntable. Pretty cool. Kinda pointless, sure, but it gives old turntables something to do.
