This 8GB TR-808 flash drive is perfect for DJs and other music enthusiasts. You can pre-order it now for $40. Sadly it doesn’t also function as the real thing, but at least it looks authentic in a mini form.

It might be fun to fool your friends and tell them that you’ve shrunk the real instrument. Hopefully they won’t ask you to play it and prove it.

Sony has a series of new USB flash drives that will have storage capacities of up to 64GB. That may not be external hard drive size, but it allows you to carry a lot in your pocket. It comes in your choice of black or white and will be available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities.

It comes with File Rescue and x – Pict Story, which will let you retrieve accidentally deleted data and create an automated photo presentation. No info on price yet.

Mimobot Transformers flash drives

Mimoco has unveiled some new USB flash drives. Transformers. These are definitely more than meets the eye. It’s just Optimus Prime and Megatron for now. They may not actually transform, but they look cute as a button and come preloaded with screensavers, wallpapers, and digital comics.

What more do you want? They are available now, starting at $23 for 2GB of storage and going up to $60 for the 16GB model. I’m sure they will add more to the line soon.

You certainly have your choices when it comes to flash drives, but maybe you want something different. Something in a sphere. Maybe even a sphere made of bakelite, that material that they used to make old gadgets back in the 1940s. They also use it to make billiard balls. We love Batman gadgets around here and here is the latest in flash drive form. It’s called the Bat Stick and is a 4GB flash drive shaped like the “Bat-Mobile”. Looks more like the Bat-Boat if you ask us.

It’s made from recycled stuff, so that’s cool. Better get this guy quick though. Only a single unit was created, using a broken Batman toy, some tape, some glue and a memory stick. It will cost you $40 on Etsy.

New USB 3.0 Flash Drives From PQI

If you have a new laptop with a USB 3.0 port, now you need a flash drive to match. And PQI has unveiled a new line of USB 3.0 flash drives called the Intelligent Drive U819V. They measure just 31.5mm x 14.8mm x 7.3mm and weigh 3.6 grams.

They are tiny and also feature a glossy exterior in ivory white and midnight black, a USB 3.0 connection of course they come in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities. No word on pricing yet.

Canon cameras have a distinct look, so you recognize them right away. But why are these so small? Wait, those aren’t cameras, they’re flash drives. Aren’t they adorable. Now Canon fans have some storage options just for them.

There are several miniature models from Canon’s line-up. There’s the 5D MkII DSLR, the IXUS P&S and even the LEGRA HD. These hold 4GB of data. Pretty cute and unique storage idea.

The flash drive comes in 2GB for $21, 4GB for $24 and 8GB for $34. It looks like it is wide enough that some USB ports may get blocked when it is plugged in though and that isn’t good.

The USB 3.0 Express DUO 2-CH flash drives feature a cap-less design and a nice piano black finish. The design makes it so that you twist the plastic housing to reveal the USB 3.0 port inside. It comes with Microsoft’s Security Essentials antivirus program right on the drive too. These new drives come in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities for about $19, $30, and $70.
