Posted in Accessories,iPod,Speakers by Darrin Olson on February 1st, 2007

i-Station Traveller iPod Dock from Logic3A day would not be complete if an Apple iPod accessory didn’t come across my desk. This one is called the i-Station Traveller from Logic3 and is a pocket-sized portable speaker system which allows you to share your tunes with others wherever you go.

The i-Station is pictured with an iPod (not included) and has the indicative ‘i’ in the name, but in actuality this portable speaker system can work with just about any digital audio player since the sound is through a line-in cable. The design and name of this speaker gadget from Logic3 certainly do lend it to be associated with iPod, however.

The i-Station Traveller runs off of 4 AAA batteries delivering 4 watts of output, comes with a protective travel case and comes in six colors; green, red, white, blue, purple and black. Running at around £20 ($39 USD) the …

Bang & Olufsen Beolab 9 SpeakersIn the quest for superior sound quality combined with superior designs, the BeoLab line of loudspeakers from Bang & Olufsen often times will end the search, for a price.

Bang & Olufsen has recently released the BeoLab 9 loudspeaker, which is the latest in their line of high-end speakers, and the fourth offered with their Acoustic Lens Technology for treble sounds. The lens sits on top of the speaker in a specially shaped housing which distributes the treble in an 180 degree arc, and limits it’s exposure to echoing from the floor and ceiling. The BeoLab 9 speaker also has a manual position switch which changes the sound based on it’s position in the room. Placing the speaker in an open area, a corner or against a flat wall can be accommodated without sound compromise.

The look of these high-end speakers gives it …

Saitek iFreedom Bluetooth SpeakersMP3 players are great because they allow you to easily and conveniently have music wherever you go, but what if you want to share your music? Your options are usually to either split your headphones to share with someone, or you can dock your player to play the music through a bigger system with speakers.

iFreedom from Saitek let’s you share your music wirelessly from your MP3 player through this portable, battery powered set of speakers. It has a little transmitter that hooks up to your player via USB or 3.5mm cable connection. The transmitter will transmit your music to the portable speakers from up to 10 meters away via Bluetooth technology. The MP3 player (namely targeting an iPod I’m guessing from the name of the gadget) can then control the song you are playing (obviously) and the volume of the speakers. The …
