Epson Stylus Pro 3800 is most Compact A2 Printer

Epson 3800Epson has introduced the Stylus Pro 3800 - a compact, 17-inch wide printer design with a new breakthrough screening algorithm and award-winning Epson UltraChrome K3 Ink technology. This sleek and sophisticated printer is targeted towards the printing needs of professional photographers, graphic designers, and prepress proofing.

For added productivity, a new auto-sharing black ink technology allows for automatic switching between photo and matte black ink modes to maximize image quality on a wide variety of media types.

The Epson Stylus Pro 3800 will begin shipping in December 2006 and has a MSRP of $1,295 (USD). Epson will also make a Professional Edition of the printer that includes a high-end PostScript Language Level 3 compatible RIP by ColorBurst and is priced at $1,495.

The ANY_WAY plus, the SIMPLE_WAY and the portable photo printer MY_WAY plus complete this new line of printers featuring Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features.

A quick breakdown of the printer models uncovers some impressive features:

ANY_WAY: The multi-functional colored photo printer, with printing, copying (even without a PC) and scanning functions.

LCD picture display measuring 2.4″ and has 65,000 colors.
Improved printing speed. 20 pages per minute b/w and 18 colored pages per minute and only 75 seconds for a 10×15 photo printing.
Image improving software helps revitalize old pictures.
ANY_WAY has a Magic Button which analyses the photo and automatically selects the correct color, light and contrast modifications.
The photo fax model includes a fax machine, operating in black and white …
