Posted in movies by Conner Flynn on March 30th, 2010

Are you ready for Iron Man 2 on May 7th? Well, if you all wear this Iron Man 2 Cologne to the premiere, there will no doubt be a lot of gagging and passing out. This new cologne comes from Diesel and the bottle is shaped like Iron Man’s hand.

If you really need to know, the fragrance is influenced by “top notes of lemon blossom, mandarin and coriander leaves, a heart of labdanum, black rose and lavender, and a dry down of amber, tolu wood and ebony wood”.

Chromakey is everywhere, in everything

This video is pretty amazing and a real eye-opener at how pervasive green-screening has become in almost every scene in television these days. If it takes place outdoors, it is faked in one way or another.

In some cases you wonder why they even had to change the scenery. I guess even the most beautiful reality isn’t real enough these days. Gives me a whole new appreciation for actors these days. These guys and gals are way more talented then they get credit for.

blockbuster-sbI went to the movie store Tuesday to rent Inglorious Bastards and was bummed when all copies were out. I ended up having to buy it so I could watch the movie. Blockbuster has announced a new service called Direct Access that will help you find a film you want to see even if it is out of stock.

When you go into a store and the film you want isn’t available the store employees can access the distribution center catalog and have the film shipped directly to your door, assuming it is in stock at the distribution center.

A lightsaber at every corner…just in case

Posted in movies by Nino Marchetti on March 27th, 2008

lightsabers.jpgIn case you missed the announcement at our sister blog PopTherapy, we’ll tell you here: the entire Star Wars saga is set to be aired together, for the first time, on Spike TV in April. If you feel the need to gear up for it and perhaps cut down some evil Sith along the way, you can always visit this emergency glass lightsaber storage case.

You can, of course, build your own lightsaber. It is probably just easier though to break the glass, whip of a glowing light stick of death and take on your enemies on the sidewalk in the light of day.
