Are you looking for some extra screen real estate on your laptop? Instead of upgrading to a larger laptop, why not just park another screen next to the one you already use? The Cinq is a 10-inch USB monitor that you can hang on the side of your screen, giving you some extra space.
It’s not just a screen, it also has an SD card reader attached. Sure it looks like a rear view mirror for laptops, but it could come in handy. It will be released in the third quarter of this year for $249.






It’s funny how companies can change. BenQ used to make cheap, but decent electronics. They still make the cheap stuff, but they offer some premium gear too. We’ve been impressed by some of their offerings lately.

NEC has dropped yet another eco-friendly LCD monitor, this one aimed at business users. It’s called the MultiSync LCD175M, a 17-inch LCD monitor with an energy efficient display, reducing power consumption by nearly 42% compared to regular panels.

Lately many all-in-ones have featured multitouch monitors. Well here’s a multitouch 21.5 inch monitor from Dell, the SX2210T, without the all-in-one PC included.
Philips has introduced its latest addition to its LCD monitor line with the Brilliance 225P1ES. This 22 inch widescreen monitor includes the PowerSensor feature which detects when the user is not in front of the screen and lowers the contrast and brightness until the user returns.
DoubleSight Displays has introduced three new Smart USB monitors. They are available in 7 or 9 inch models, and are mostly identical in design, except that the DS-90UC model has a detachable webcam and the two 9-inch displays have 1,024 x 600 resolution, while the 7 inch display has 800 x 480.
Hyundai has unveiled two new Full HD Monitors, expanding their lineup with the V226Wa and the V236Wd. Both of these widescreen monitors boast a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 5ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
ViewSonic has released another six LCD models. The VT3245 ($649) and VT3745 ($799) feature Full HD (1920×1080) resolution, 5ms response time, 4,000:1 contrast ratio, 3D video processing and an SRS TruSurround XT audio surround sound experience.
Two heads are better than one, so two LCD screens slapped together must be better than one.
Asus just launched its new Designo MS series, which is a line of ultra-slim monitors How slim? How about 0.64″? They are available in five diagonal sizes: 20, 21.5, 22, 23 and 23.6 inches. Asus says that the design comes from binary numbers and various design elements that use 0′s and 1′s.
HANNspree has unveiled two HF series widescreen LCD monitors: The 20-inch HF207AP and the 23-inch HF237HP. The HF207AP supports a native resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels, along with only two connectivity ports including D-Sub and DVI.
BenQ has unveiled the upcoming 27-inch LCD monitor dubbed the M2700HDS in Japan. This latest widescreen monitor from the company boasts a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness and four 2.5W built-in speakers.
