Looking for a phone that matches your fancy Adidas shoes? Well, you can get this one, but despite it’s looks, it isn’t an official handset from the sportswear giant. Sure it has the Adidas logo on the front of this clamshell, but that’s really all we know about it.

You can probably expect the usual specifications of such clones, like dual SIM and a digital camera as well as a complete lack of quality at a high price. We will probably see a Nike version very soon.

We’ve seen plenty of knock-off cell phones, whether they be iPhone ripoffs to Nokia clones Blackberry doppelgangers. Let’s face it, they are fun to spot and in many cases easy to laugh at. Take this T-mobile MyTough 3G (HTC Magic) “inspired” phone, for instance.

The design looks like the MyTouch 3G, but this thing is running Windows Mobile 6.5. Some other features include Wifi, GPS, and bluetooth. And as an added insult, it even comes with a pair of headphones that are clearly Apple earbud rip-offs. If for some reason you are interested in rocking this, it’s a steep $288.

Drivers who want to stay away from the long arm of the law as far as speeding goes can now download a camera locator application direct to their mobile phone from RoadPilot. RoadPilot Mobile will be available on an annual subscription basis, though the price is yet to be revealed.

To celebrate the launch, RoadPilot is offering RoadPilot Mobile with a no-strings-attached free trial until February 28th 2010. In addition to fixed cameras, it offers a real-time alert facility, which lets users notify other members of the RoadPilot Mobile user community if specific mobile speed camera sites are active.

The Chinese market will soon have yet another handset for your purchasing pleasure, the Samsung W799. The W799 functions as a regular touchscreen phone with the call/end buttons and large 3-inch display on the front.

Some other features include WQVGA resolution, TouchWiz UI, handwriting input, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, Bluetooth, TV-out, DivX, integrated FM radio, GPS navigation, 300MB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot.

Smartphones are big business despite the sagging economy with consumers flocking to the devices in droves. One of the most popular smartphone OS’ is Android and ZiiLABS has unveiled a new development platform called the Trinity that supports it.

The platform is a smartphone/multimedia phone that sports a 3.1-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 480 x 800. The device supports 1080p video and has a mini HDMI out port. It can operate on quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks, Tri-band WCDMA networks, and HSDPA networks.

If you like your phones looking all chocolaty and sweet, you might want to check out these melty chocolate phones from Japanese designer Q-Pot. Not to be confused with LG’s Chocolate phones. Teaming up with Sharp, Q-Pot offers two tasty colors, uh flavors. Melty Bitter and Melty Strawberry.

Both feature a 3D chocolate case, chocolate themed menus and wallpapers, and chocolate type packaging. Some other features include an 8MP camera that says “give me a sweet smile”, a 3 inch screen, and a Japanese system TV tuner.

The First ELSE is an interesting mobile phone. The idea is that it’s centered around the user experience, rather than the phone itself. The First ELSE has the phone as an application on the device, rather than being the main function of the device. The camera is the same way.

We don’t yet know which operator will be getting this, but Pocket-lint did spot some representatives from Orange at the event. Target markets for the phone are the US, Western Europe and Russia. They just might be onto something here.

Two big shots with initials, HP and AT&T just announced the iPaq Glisten. It’s a GSM Windows Mobile 6.5 Smartphone with an AMOLED display. The Glisten features a unified inbox and comes pre-loaded with the Facebook app for Windows Mobile.

It will cost $299 with a two year contract. Specs include: GSM 3G world phone, 2.5″ AMOLED Display, Windows Mobile 6.5, 3.1 Megapixel Camera, GPS, turn-by-turn navigation and Mobile office.

I’ll be honest; I don’t get the desire for video calling. I can see if you have family or friends that you don’t get to see otherwise it might be appealing. For me, I don’t want to talk to most of the people who call me, much less see them. Still if video calling is one of the things you want, Saygus has announced that its VPhone will support 2-way video calls and is the first to do so.

The VPhone will operate on the Verizon network and has a VGA quality forward facing camera for video calls and a 5MP camera on the rear with flash and autofocus for pictures. The handset has a large 3.5-inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 that supports multi-touch.

One of the things that I really hate about the mobile phone industry today is that they won’t just give you a good price. All of the carriers want to offer you a price that looks good, but what you really pay is often much more than that until a mail-in rebate comes in. Thankfully, Best Buy Mobile is cutting through the crap and offers all of the good prices with instant rebates in its stores.

The latest deals include the Sprint HTC Hero and Samsung Moment each for $99 with instant rebates applied. That means no paying more and waiting to get your money back. Both phones are originally priced at $179.

Bellperre is one of those companies that only offers handsets made from the finest luxury materials. With this phone they are keeping it as natural as possible, by including wood on the external chassis. Don’t worry, you still have the option to deck it out in tacky looking jewels.

Some of the woods available include hand-polished Steel, Rosé Gold, Yellow Gold, Platinum and Brushed Black. It’s a nice loking phone, but let’s just hope that someone makes one that you and I can afford soon.

Willcom has a new Hybrid W-Zero handset dubbed model number WS027SH. This model features PHS and W-CDMA (3.5G) connectivity and is compatible with HSUPA 7.2Mbps. It’s powered by Windows Mobile 6.5.

Some features include a 3.5″ VGA resolution touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS navigation support and a 5-megapixel camera. It also uses the “x-Crawl” GUI, allowing you to use the jog dial to scroll with the cursor sideways.

Everybody wants to cash in on the King of Pop’s death, so we aren’t surprised to see this Michael Jackson phone appear in China. In a Gold color of course. We are talking the king of pop here.

Sure it looks kinda fugly, but if you’re a big MJ fan, you might want to buy this to go with your other memorabilia. The outside appears to be actually dressed like MJ. The phone comes with a Michael Jackson live-performance DVD which is probably a bootleg, and is decked out in plastic diamonds.

The Alcatel One Touch Mini is rolling out in Spain, aimed at Spanish youth. And so the phones are affordable and feature packed and bright.

The One Touch Mini features a 2.4 inch touch screen that displays a widgets bar, a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM and Bluetooth. It comes in attractive colors with a cool QWERTY keypad. The Alcatel One Touch Mini will be cost just 60 Euros (or $89).
