Motorola KRZR K1m This version of the Sprint MOTOKRZR K1m from Motorola has a shiny sleek design not found on the gray colored version from Verizon, but has the same basic functionality.

The K1m has a thin clam shell design with a 1.3 mega pixel camera and some really cool touch sensitive buttons on the front to run your music playback without having to open up the phone. Buttons like this on the outside of phone are really nice and convenient, but they usually involve some protrusion that looks clunky. This one definitely does not, and gives some common and convenient functionality while keeping a clean look.

Yahoo! Mail and Messenger Now on Nokia Phones

Nokia 6300Mobile phone giant Nokia and Yahoo! announced today that they will be expanding their partnership to include Yahoo! branded internet services including Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Messenger on Nokia mobile devices.

The services will be made available on Nokia phones running Nokia’s Series 40 platform. Series 40 is the software system that powers many of Nokia’s mobile devices. With Series 40, users are able to access a broad range of applications and features, including messaging, browsing, music and video standards as well as personal information management.

Yahoo! internet services will initially be available on the new Nokia 6300 (pictured), the Nokia 5300 XpressMusic and the Nokia 5200. These services and the ability to synchronize Yahoo! contacts, tasks and calendar on the PC and phone will eventually be added to an even wider range of Nokia’s Series 40 devices.

Cingular Releases GPS Navigation System with 3D Maps in U.S.

Cingular-TelenavCingular Wireless has become the first wireless carrier in the U.S. to offer a wireless navigation system with 3D maps. The new system will be featured on the Nokia E62 device and utilizes an enhanced version of TeleNav GPS Navigator.

The TeleNav GPS Navigator system will give customers 3D moving maps on the Nokia E62′s large, high-resolution screen. The system works much like an in-car navigation system; you received turn-by-turn directions while driving and the 3D maps turn, move and stop as the driver does the same, while also displaying images of the streets the driver is approaching. Users can also pan and zoom the map to view nearby streets.

Motorola W220Not everyone needs all the flash and bling of the features and fancy cases in new mobile phones. A nice looking, practical phone is found in the Motorola W220 which was launched earlier this year. This is the kind of phone that you would be comfortable with letting your daughter date.

The W220 has a clean a slim design similar to the Motorola RAZR, but without all the extra flash and price. There is no MP3 player, no camera and no flashy videos or pictures on an external display.

Samsung SGH-i607 BlackJack SmartphoneCingular and Samsung have finally released the SGH-i607 BlackJack Smartphone in time for the holiday season and to have it in the race along side the Motorola Q and the Dash. The Blackjack fills a void for mobile phone users in the US with a Smartphone that has supports GSM along with EDGE / UMTS / HSDPA. The phone also supports Bluetooth, but unfortunately is without any built in WiFi support.

This phone comes with a slightly awkward looking QWERTY keyboard, a 320×240 screen resolution and a built in 1.3-megapixal camera. Motorola i880Motorola and Sprint announced the availability of the Motorola i880 2.0 megapixel camera phone on Nextel. This is the latest in a series of higher-megapixel mobile phones offering better picture quality. The 2.0 megapixel picture resolution allows you to take quality 5×7 prints.

The i880 comes with a 64MB microSD memory card and features a video recorder, integrated music player with front dual-ported speakers. Other features include: GPS capabilities, Internet microbrowser, custom ring tone ID and picture caller ID, a 262K internal color screen, voice dialing, voice recorder, speakerphone, datebook and 600-entry contacts list.

Samsung Samsung SGH-X830I really like seeing unique and innovative designs with new mobile devices, and Samsung has come up with a unique design with the SGH-X830 “Mini MP3 Phone”.

The X830 has a swing-open style that allows the device to work as a compact MP3 player when closed and as mobile phone when swung open. The design comes in 6 different colors – black, candy pink (both pictured here), pure white, oasis blue, orange and lemon green to blend into many different tastes, while the dimensions of the Mini MP3 Phone are a mere 84x30x19.9 mm and weighs only 75 grams.

The menu and different functions are navigated through a click wheel on the front of the phone which lets you scroll through options and up to 250 songs on the 1GB of internal memory.
