Mustek unveiled what looks to be an interesting convergent digital accessory: a digital picture frame with a built in iPod dock. The new Mustek PF-i700 is priced at around $130.

The Mustek PF-i700 sports a seven-inch LCD panel which supports a resolution of 480 x 234 and widescreen ratio of 16:9. The integrated iPod docking station allows you to play iPod files through the digital picture frame. You could, for example, display your digital photos or movies on the screen. Built-in speakers and a headphone jack also let you have audio interaction with your iPod content.

iFrogz is targeting owners of the third generation iPod nano with a semi-translucent hard case. The new iFrogz 3rd Gen Nano Crystal Cases are priced at around $13 or $18 if you add some click wheel art.

The iFrogz 3rd Gen Nano Crystal Cases are available in a variety of colors, including pink, purple, orange, green, yellow and light blue. They protect your nano from scratches by covering it while also offering full access to the scroll wheel, headphone jack and other ports. The screen is also fully covered by the case.

Denon Electronics has introduced two new audio systems which use wireless connectivity to access digital audio. The new S-32 and S-52 systems are priced at around $500 and $700 respectively.

The Denon S-32 and S-52 are part of the company’s new S-Series Networked Audio Systems. They use 802.11 wireless technology to let you access music on other home networked devices as well as pay-for streaming audio from Rhapsody digital music service. Both models also include a built-in iPod dock, with S-52 offering additional entertainment options like a built-in HD Radio tuner, slot loading CD player and XM Satellite Radio.

Does your iPod yearn for more than the average looking case? How about one set in 14-karat gold. Metallo Design, a designer of luxury products, is set to outfit your iPod in its own take on iPod cases. The new Gilty Couture line prices from around $55 to $200.

The Gilty Couture cases are made of metal and designed to protect your iPod as any other hard case would. Where they vary is that each hand-crafted case “eatures brilliant bezel style settings with opulent Swarovski crystals, and each piece is draped in 14-karat gold or silver jewelry quality plating.”

The iViewer HTM 9000 should make alot of PSP and iPod owners very happy. The device wirelessly plays back files coming from any multimedia source to a NTSC, Pal or Secam TV. The manufacturer says that it works with the iPods and the PSP as well as digital cameras and camcorders. They are fairly vague about it.

The iViewer sends the files to your TV via some sort of mini embedded antennae. You simply choose one of 4 channel options to view the content on. The device also features input composite video and a built-in stereo encoder. Power is in the form of a standard DC plug for DC power in, but it also has a compartment for 4 AAA batteries. A new portable iPod/iPhone charger has surfaced for those on the go who find their Apple device without power. The iPowerRush Charger is priced at around $30 and available now.

The iPowerRush Charger draws its energy from six AAA batteries housed inside its casing. These batteries provide a self-described 10 to 15 extra hours of iPod life on average. The charger includes an on/off switch as well as a power indicator to let you know how much battery life is left. The unit measures 2 x 3-5/8 x 1/2-inches.

It can never hurt to have extra iPod chargers stashed away at home, the office or in your car for those times when the battery is about done. iFrogz, a maker of iPod accessories, is introducing its own charging products for the Apple portable media player. These are the iFrogz Wall Charger and Car Charger.

The iFrogz Wall Charger, priced at around $15, is a 110v USB product which has a standard two ply plug for fitting into a regular wall outlet. You connect the charger to your iPod through a USB cable. It is available in five color choices.

Who hasn’t looked at their iPod and wished they could play games with it. Well, now you can. Not Super Mario or Metroid kind of games, mind you, but your iPod just got a little more fun. The iNo Interactive Game System for iPod turns the device into a game of music trivia that plays off your own music library.

Simply listen to the music, buzz your remote control when you think you know the answer and guess the name of the artist, the song or the album. Rack up the points and win. But wait…there may be one slight hitch here, before you rush out and spend $79.99 of your hard earned money. Doesn’t the iPod owner know his/her songs by heart? I would think they would be the winner every time. Oh well, for $80 you will just have to be content to sit out the game and let your friends play, wondering why the experience cost you $80.

iPod accessory maker Blue Raven Technology unveiled today some new iPod speaker systems, some of which use Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming from the MP3 player. The new Blue Raven Maestro 2020 and 2040 models range in price from around $170 to $300.

The Blue Raven Maestro 2020 and 2040 models are two piece speaker systems with 20 and 40 watts of digital audio playback, respectively. They come in several different colors. What distinguishes the products from each other is that two of the four models have built-in iPod docks, while the others make use of an optional Bluetooth transmitter attached to the iPod to receive sound. All models can connect almost any other audio device to the unit with the auxiliary in port.

We all want a single unit that has every form of entertainment in one box. SE2 Labs has an entertainment super-machine that tries to oblige, while looking like a mini-computer server. Design-wise, it’s looks are simply amazing. It’s called the ITC One and it boasts an Xbox 360, HD personal video recorder, surround-sound processor, ICEpower High End D-Class Amplifiers, 4.3-inch touchscreen, iPod dock, and remote control system all in a single unit.

The price for having so many goodies in one box? A whooping $19,900. Most people would prefer to get a rocking home theater system at that price. Or even buy a car. But if you like it’s design and the fact that it’s so compact, go for it.

The Thodio iBox is a very nice and somewhat retro looking iPod amplifier that is handcrafted from wood which is finished with quality high gloss lacquer. It will make your desk look much classier. The rechargeable battery provides 15 hours of juice, and the two speakers deliver 25 watts of power each.

It’s been a trend lately to recapture that look of old 1950’s Television sets with their woodgrain cabinets, and translate the look to these new devices. Anything looks at least a bit neater in wood, but with the Thodio, I think they got the design just right. Each case is handcrafted from 15mm of beech, oak, teak, zebrano or mahogany.

It wouldn’t be a day here at Slippery Brick without pointing out some new iPod accessory. Today we’ve set our sights on the Roth Audio ALFiE, a cool looking iPod speaker system priced at around $1,000.

The Roth Audio ALFiE is described as a ready to go entertainment hub by Roth. It’s got an integrated iPod dock, slot fed disc drive which playbacks DVD/CD/VCD/CDR/CDRW, FM/AM radio and an auxiliary port for playback of other audio devices. Speakers output 40 watts of sound and include a downward firing subwoofer.

Geneva Lab, a maker of iPod sound systems, has apparently unveiled a new model for iPod owners which comes in a single wood cabinet. The new Geneva Sound System Model M is available in three body colors and priced around $500.

The Geneva Sound System Model M is a tabletop iPod sysem which is compatible with all iPod models that make use of a dock connector. Four speakers are housed in the wood cabinet, powered by a digital amplifier which kicks up 100 watts of power. There’s also a LED display on the front which shows information like which track is playing.

boynq’s iCube II speaker and docking system gives off some retro vibes, thanks to hot colors and nicely detailed design. The award winning company is known for such attention to detail. Even the packaging for the one above is eye catching, matching the product. It’s from boynq’s Pour Femme collection, which I believe translates to “for her”.

They do have a more manly option as well. The “Pour Homme” version of the iCube II. Truth is they are both eye candy, with subtle curves mixed with the right sized knobs. The large knob in the center even lights up. The connections are of course located in back. Line in, line out, iPod USB connection and the DC power in. It will allow you to charge and sync your iPod, connect the iPod shuffle and other audio devices and connect to your home stereo.

This could be a huge pain in the Apple for…well, Apple. The MiShare allows iPods to share information without a computer. Say your friend has pictures, playlists or mp3s on their iPod, that you would like to have on yours, but you don’t want to go through the trouble of getting out the laptop, charger cable, and iPod reverse transfer software.

MiShare makes it easier with direct iPod on iPod action. Just attach both iPods and press miShare’s button to start the transfer. It won’t disable iTunes DRM, but if you have regular MP3s you can now share away. The miShare is battery powered, and can be charged with an included AC adapter.
