iPod docks. Are you sick of them? Don’t worry, this one manages to stand out a bit. This Swiss made EWOO eFizz home dock and sound system boasts 70 watts of power and is now shipping in the US.
It boasts great sound and a great look sure, but the really interesting thing about this one is the 2-way radio remote that allows you to control your entire iPod, iPhone or iTouch through the remote. What you see on your iPod, you will also see right on the remotes 1.8″ screen, even cover art.

iPod docks come in all shapes and sizes, but when is the last time you saw one that looks like it’s ready to eat Pac-Man? Looks like these ghosts are only available in 3 colors, so one is missing. Probably eaten by Pac-Man himself.
We’re used to seeing a new iPod dock every day or so. They turn up like bad pennies. But Xantech’s XIS100 iPod docking station is a little different, focusing on high-res videos. It’s perfect for the modern high-end A/V system. In fact, it’s being touted as the first docking station designed for high-resolution televisions and features a unique component video output capability that will enable owners of the new 480P video output iPods to see their video in full native resolution on a plasma, LCD or other compatible TV screen with component video output.
The iPod’s Click Wheel is great and all, but like most gadgets, it’s really no fun to use when it’s cold outside. Accenda has a solution for your cold fingers with the iPod voice controller. Just connect it to the iPod’s dock connector and use your voice to control your iPod.
Now here’s a case for your iPod that is actually interesting and looks unique. These cases are made from old 45s, with a plexiglass window and a cork liner. You have to love this merging of the old format with the new. It just makes sense. And looks damn good.

RockridgeSound recently released the somewhat retro looking ISR-VT02 iPod dock. The unit boasts an integrated AM/FM tuner, vacuum tube amplifier, two-stage 12AX7 (ECC83) amplifier, two 3.15 inch speakers, 12W of power, S-Video out, mini stereo input and RCA analog inputs.

Wireless iPod docks are not new, but the trend kind of died out leaving us with
I’ve been thinking on it for awhile and I just can’t think of anything more disturbing then this Spongebob Squarepants iPod dock. Mostly the problem is that you remove his large eyeballs and watch them roll around on the table in time with whatever music you play. It’s made more disturbing by the fact that he doesn’t even have a face, just the fleshy part around the eyes. That’s all you get. Don’t buy your kids this monstrosity, unless you like your kid waking up from mutant cartoon nightmares every night, complete with music. Video below.
