Sony’s ICF-CD3iP iPod/iPhone dock & clock radioSony has created a somewhat original looking and refreshing third-generation iPod/iPhone clock radio dock, the ICF-CD3iP, according to an apparent leak by a Sony Insider. The dock has a unique circular design that holds a clock, AM/FM radio and a CD player, with simple controls in front for playback.

A side dock holds the Apple device. It can play MP3’s, CDs and CD-R/RW audio discs. The iPhone or iPod are integrated with the alarm clock and it comes with a remote so you don’t have to get out of bed to turn it off. iBikeConsole puts music on your bikeHere’s an updated version of that iPhone Bike Mount we showed you in April that has probably sent some people to the hospital by now. The iBikeConsole device is mounted on your bike in pretty much the same way and will let you control your 1st, 2nd or 3rd generation iPod Nano without moving your hands away from the grips, which is a bonus because that feature will surely keep you alive longer.

You can also check your speed, trip distance, and more if you’re a numbers geek. Has a nice looking weather housing too. It’s about time they came up with something that makes it all the more desirable to knock you off your bike and steal it, because that old bell on your handlebars just wasn’t hip enough. The iBikeConsole is available for $76. Getting your bike and your iPod stolen at the same time…Priceless.

Made for iPod refrigerator

Posted in iPod Accessories by Conner Flynn on September 1st, 2008

Made for iPod refrigeratorMaking its appearance at IFA 2008 in Berlin, the Made for iPod refrigerator is the first of it’s kind. Gorenje might have a winner on it’s hands with this here fancy fridge. Sure, we’ve seen refrigerators with a bunch of multimedia features that allow you to listen to music, watch TV, even surf net, but this is Apple certified. It features a built-in iPod docking station and speakers, so as you might expect, you can play music and video and connect to the internet via a Wi-Fi network.

Apparently by integrating the iPod with iGorenj app, you can control all kinds of Gorenje appliances like washing machines and the oven for instance. The app is not built for iPhone/iPod touch, it’s served from a home server that controls your appliances directly. That way you can use the iPod touch, but also any other web device in your home that uses a Wi-Fi network. Looks like we may have an iKitchen sooner then some of us thought.

Dock your iPod in Beethoven’s headWhether you’re into the classics or just want it to look like you are, the Ode to Beethoven MP3 Player Speakers will bring a little Beethoven into your life. It is designed by UK artist Fiona Thomson, with the idea of combining classic artistic aesthetics with modern technology. More importantly, it lets you dock your mp3 player in a stone bust of Beethoven’s head, so you can look all classy while playing your AC/DC and Alice Cooper. Right now, it’s still just a concept, but hopefully it will be a reality soon and herald a new age of stone iPod docks.

Speakal’s iPig adds a touch of digital bacon to your iPod
Do digital pigs dream of electric bacon when they have an iPod attached? I have no idea. It could be argued that alot of the drivel that fills up iPods is total garbage and if that’s the case, why not serve it up to a pig?

Speakal is offering the iPod docking iPig, a speaker system with five drivers, one of which is a 4-inch subwoofer, adjustable bass controls, 360-degree sound distribution and a desire to shout oink. It also has a 3.5-millimeter auxiliary jack and comes with a bundled remote. They even act like pigs in price at $139.99 and want to snort and suck up your money, then roll around in it.

Speaker turn your iPod into a ball and chain
If you’ve ever been married or held prisoner in a dungeon, you are probably very familiar with the ball and chain concept. This is kinda like that, but for your iPod.

It’s a speaker that stands out by being an odd looking ball. ZumReed’s Sound Ball speaker is designed to hang out on your key chain or book bag, and when you want to hear some tunes, just plug it into the audio jack on your iPod or other mp3 player. Comes in pink, lime green and purple flavors and the battery is built-in and rechargeable via USB. It will get you some odd looks. Say, I wonder why they don’t come in pairs, that wouldn’t look weird at all.

Muso voice control for your iPod
If having all of that music at your fingertips isn’t enough for you and you want a still easier way to access your music, this might be just the thing. The Muso is a gadget that plugs into the iPod, and gives you voice control.

It will synchronize with your iTunes library on the first use, without any training. It understands requests like “Play some Beatles”, “Give me Rap”, or even “Play me something like the last song”. It costs $159, and the battery lasts for 10 hours, which is plenty of time for you to have talked yourself hoarse, much to the dismay of those around you.

Hercules i-XPS SoundBox Portable Speaker for iPods

Hercules i-XPS SoundBox Portable Speaker for iPods
The i-XPS Soundbox is probably designed for those who want to chill by the pool or at the beach, or wherever, but the first thing I thought when I saw these is that they are downright fugly. The portable speaker will enclose and suffocate your iPod Nano (1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation), iPod Mini, iPod Classic, and other MP3 Players.

It has an integrated mini jack cable connection that connects it to the speakers through the headphone jack on the your MP3 Player. Then just zip it up to keep your MP3 player safe. It’s powered by 2 AAA batteries. I know you can’t wait to dress your iPod up as either Stone, Splash, or Spray design.

Krell, which also has a nice $50k preamp/processor, does up iPod accessories like we haven’t really seen before. The KID itself is best described as an iPod dock on steroids, boasting such features as using fully differential output of the internal DAC for iPod-devices, digitally-controlled analog bass and treble controls and balance and single ended outputs.

JVC NX-PN7 dual iPod docking station clock radioToday JVC finally officially launched that dual iPod docking station we saw earlier this year at CES which has the ability to dock two iPods at the same time. The NX-PN7 stands out from the crowd of endless iPod accessories since it can hold not one but two iPods, or an iPod and an iPhone, charging and playing from either of them.

The dual iPod dock also features an AM/FM clock radio and video out to output your video media to a television.
