Looking for an iPod dock for your mad science lab? The Einstein Sound Master Photon Ball iPod Dock sounds pretty impressive, but in reality it’s just one of those fancy electro-static orbs attached to a dock. Which is cool, don’t get us wrong, but it’s also kind of too much. The colored ball pulsates and flashes to the beat of the music.

It also changes colors and looks all pretty-like. Just sit your iPod in the dock, and think about what it would look like if it had hair electro-rocked by this orb. Some other features are a clock with an alarm, AM/FM radio tuner and more.

Sony, maker of more iPod docks than you can count, has another brand new iPod dock for your consideration. The NAS-Z200iR functions just like all of the other iPod docks you know and love.

It features an integrated FM radio, a CD player, Wi-Fi connectivity, DLNA streaming and a remote control with a 3.5″ LCD display for easy navigation. You can hook up another portable media player via the USB port.

Pocket projectors are the latest “big” small thing. They’re everywhere. Now Beambox has teamed up with MiLi on this latest version. The MiLi Evolution Mini Power Projector works with your iPhone or iPod touch, docking it into the unit which then acts as projector and charger in one device.

The LCOS projector has 10 lumens of brightness for VGA projection of an image from 3 up to 70 inches. Expect it to cost you about $255 when it’s released around the end of July. This is one of the more interesting mini projectors that we’ve seen recently.

The iJector arrives next month, capable of projecting videos at a decent brightness up to diagonal sizes of 50 inches. It will also play back amplified stereo audio, and even features a “made for iPod” device certification. It will work with just about any video-enabled iProduct. We aren’t positive whether that includes the iPhone 3GS or not.

Here’s the punchline. That 50 inches of projected imagery will have a low 557×234 resolution, and will cost around $670 when it ships in Japan next month. So we aren’t sure why you should bother.

This clock radio/iPod dock has been in Europe for a while, but looks like Sonoro’s Eklipse iPod dock/CD player/ clock radio has only just gotten official for the US, and even has a price. That price is a shocking $550. The time must be displayed in real gold.

That price gets you 7.5W of power output, an OLED display, remote, and an auxiliary jack along with your iPod dock and slot-load CD. No official word on a release date, but soon you should be able to pre-order.

If you’ve been paying attention, the latest iPod Shuffle doesn’t have any buttons on it, the controls are in the headphones, which is fine if you want to listen to it via the headphones, but what about when you want to listen to it in your car or an iPod dock? Panasonic jumps full onto the iPod bandwagon with their SC-HC-Series iPod D-Docks named the SC-HC3 and SC-HC4. Both are very similar. Aside from having unique colors, the SC-HC4 includes an SD memory card slot. You can also rip music from your CDs onto the SD/SDHC card directly without software, with transfer speeds of 8x.

Both docks feature two 2.6″ diameter speakers and a 40W stereo amplifier, a built-in AM/FM radio tuner, 3.5mm auxiliary input jack and display. It doesn’t mention whether the iPhones are supported, but we are guessing they must be. They’ll run you $350 and $400. They arrive in Japan on April 18th.

We’ve covered many an iPod speaker dock, but to my knowledge this is the first one that actually moves. The Bless Automatica Remote Control Car with iPod Speakers is just what it sounds like. An RC car pimped out with a pair of speakers that you can plug your iPod into.

Here’s something a little different for your iPod or iPhone from Buffalo. A speaker shaped like dice, if you feel like listening to music is a gamble. The Buffalo Dice iPod Speaker comes in several colors, and doubles as a stand for your iPod.

It’s compatible with the majority of iPods expect of course the iPod Shuffle, so it should work with your iPhone. It sucks that you can’t use them as huge dice though, thanks to the connector sticking out. But at least it’s something different in an iPod speaker.

If you’ve been waiting patiently for something that combines your love of both the iPod and Basketball, your wait is over. I present to you the iHoop. Yeah I know, they thought it sounded cool, but you and I both know that it’s just iHop with an extra “o”.

Sony Insider has some leaked images of the CMT-Z100iR mini-sound system, which, turns out, is an uber-stylish looking system with an iPod dock, CD player and USB port to go along with 20w speakers.

An actual nice looking iPod dock? Seems too good to be true. Let the cries of “photoshopped!” begin. The device also features touch panel controls, a 3.5mm audio-in jack, bass/treble adjustments, AM/FM radio and a remote. We don’t have a release date or price, but Sony Insider is guessing $150-$250.

Vestalife certainly has a thing for bug inspired electronics. True to form, they’ve released the Butterfly iPod speaker dock that doubles as a charger. It sports a few speakers at the top, while the iPod docking station is in the middle. Yeah. Not much to write home about. At least their other efforts incorporated neat insect designs.

It will work with most popular iPod models, features LED volume indicators, auxiliary-in jack and a USB port for PC synchronization. Oh and did you notice it was fugly? This one has an automatic shut-off feature to save batteries. As long as your iPod is a model from 2004 onward, it will be compatible with the Butterfly iPod speaker dock.
