Blue Raven flies in new iPod accessories |
Blue Raven Technology, a provider of iPod accessories, came out this week with three new add-ons for everybody’s favorite digital audio player. These include a voice recorder (around $40), FM transmitter (around $50) and home theater dock (around $80).
The voice recorder has a built-in mono microphone for use with the iPod’s voice memo function and draws power from the player. It also sports line-in jacks for recording from other devices. The wireless FM transmitter offers playback over a FM radio up to 100 feet away, station presets and an included car charger for keeping your iPod charged while traveling.
Rounding out the new Blue Raven iPod accessories is a home theatre dock. This lets you connect your iPod to a home theatre system so you can enjoy audio and video in larger ways. All of these accessories look to be available now.

This iPod speaker dock from Taiwan’s Nova has a transparent, waterproof covering that looks like a tube of some sort of lotion or gel, complete with a whole in the end where it would hang on display at the store. The idea is to provide a waterproof speaker system for your iPod that lets you bring it into the shower. It also looks like you might even be able to control the iPod through the case but in reality to us it looks like just a cheap way to try to make a waterproof dock.
I kid you not. The first step is applying peroxide strips on your teeth. Then just put the mouthpiece in your mouth, plug it into your iPod, and crank up the tunes. This is the latest(and only) iPod teeth whitening system. It promises a whiter smile after just 30 minutes of music time.

Take a look at this iRing design concept by Victor Soto used to control any Apple media device including iPods and the iPhone. The ring charges in its own custom-sized cradle and has a small OLED display inside the small Apple logo that indicates it’s current status of play or pause, which can then be toggled by touch. Sliding a finger across the ring one way or the other will adjust the volume and the ring can be locked by squeezing your finger to avoid inadvertent touches. The ring can be used play, pause, move tracks back and forward and control the volume of an iPod or iPhone wirelessly, and will instantly identify you beyond the shadow of a doubt as a tried and true Apple fanboy.
