Official Darth Vader and Stormtropper half helmet iPhone cases

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on April 27th, 2010

These new iPhone cases combine two great things: Your iPhone and Star Wars. The first one’s, which we showed you way back in November must have been a hit since these are basically the same thing, just more stylish.

The Stormtropper Half Helmet and Darth Vader Half Helmet Hard Cases for the iPhone look cooler and in general more menacing than the first ones, as it only shows half of the helmets.

Human Touch iPhone controlled massage chair

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on April 22nd, 2010

The iPhone has more accessories and apps than anything in the history of everything. And this latest is probably one of the largest iPhone accessories ever, the Human Touch HT-Connect.

The HT Connect massage chair connects to your iPhone or iPod Touch via Bluetooth, and comes with an iPhone application that lets you control all the functions of the massage chair. Now THAT sounds relaxing. Until you see the price. I need a massage after seeing that $5,999 price.

New eBay app for iPhones can list products lightning fast

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on March 30th, 2010

These two new apps for either sellers or those who want to buy/sell locally are pretty cool. The Classifieds app uses the iPhone’s GPS to remember your location and will only display items near you based on what you’re searching for.

The second app is also free and is being called a “power tool” by ebay. The item being sold can be listed in under 60 seconds, which is incredibly fast for sellers. Put these two apps in your ebay arsenal and you’ll be happy you did. Now if only ebay would lower their fees, you might make some decent profit from that rare and ugly vase you just listed.

GameBone turns your iPhone into a PSP

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on March 20th, 2010

When last we checked in with the Gamebone, it looked, well, like a bone. Thankfully the latest version actually looks good, even if it does turn your iPhone into a PSP lookalike, giving it four buttons and a d-pad. The accessory features a 2000mAh battery for extra power, an LED to display charging and capacity, start/select buttons, built-in stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an omni-directional microphone.

We don’t have a release date yet, but you can expect it by the end of the year. 22moo has released developer tools to make games compatible with the accessory.

Updated Lightsaber iPhone app lets you duel via Bluetooth

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on March 18th, 2010

Apps really allow you to do just about anything. Even have a lightsaber duel. If you own an iPhone, you’ve probably already downloaded the lightsaber app, but now there’s a new lightsaber app coming next month.

It will allow you to have Bluetooth lightsaber duels and you can choose from 11 new Star Wars character’s lightsabers. Pretty neat. May the force and your iPhone be with you, always.

Spiderpodium iPhone holder

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on March 14th, 2010

The iPhone has cases, stands, docks and apps galore, but until now it has never had eight legs. The Spiderpodium won’t allow your iPhone to scurry away from you like a spider, but it will hold your device on eight bendable spider-like legs.

You can bend the legs to hold your iPhone on various surfaces, maybe even the handlebars of your bike, or on your steering wheel, though we don’t recommend it. The Spiderpodium is available for preorder for £14.99 ($23) and it will be available on March 29th. Should be pretty useful.

If you are any kind of budding musician, then chances are you have used some of the iPhone’s musically inclined apps. Well, the GuitarBud plug cable system lets you hook up your electric guitar to your iPhone, which allows it to work with a bunch of compatible apps.

It will work with stuff like Voice Memos to record a quick riff and JamAmp which simulates a guitar amp, tuner and training tool. Some other compatible apps include StompVox, Riff Raters, GigDaddy, iStrobosoft, Rectools Pro and Guitar FX Deluxe.

It will cost you $79.95 for the iPhone 3G/3GS version and $69.95 for the iPod touch version (second gen only). They are each available only in black or white right now, but additional colors are coming soon. We just don’t know when.

It should give you between four and eight hours of talk time, or up to 20 hours of additional audio playback when the charger is fully charged, but the company says you can still expect to get between 30 and 60 minutes of talk time after two hours of exposure to direct sunlight.

Spoon and Fork iPhone Stand

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on March 8th, 2010

Here’s something different in an iPhone stand. It’s a little more creative than most. The Spoon And Fork iPhone Stand. It’s how Uri Geller uses his iPhone. These folk art type stands come from Etsy seller ForkedUpArt, who is not only good with a pun, but great at bending utensils.

If you need your iPhone stand spoon-fed to you, then you won’t mind forking over $30 each for these. They have character and more personality than other stands.
