If you’ve been following the phenomenon, than you know that folks over in South Korea have been using snack sausages as a stylus for their iPhones, which is especially useful in the winter because you can’t use the iPhone’s touch screen through your gloves.

And now CaseCrown, a company known for selling iPhone cases has received a large shipment of these sausages and is offering them for $0.99 each. It has the added bonus of feeding you when you get hungry too unlike a normal stylus.

We’ve seen so many iPhone cases, we didn’t think there could possibly be anything new under the sun. But there is, and under the sun is correct since the Bioserie iPhone Case is made from Bioplastic, which is made from 100% plants.

Now that’s a green iPhone case. The Bioserie iPhone Case will be available in a bunch of colors, including green, blue, black and a few others, and it also has a leaf like design on it.

Scosche flipSYNC iPhone cable

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on January 11th, 2010

iPhone users are used to dealing with a weak battery. If you find yourself constantly charging while on the go, then chances are that you have an iPhone USB cable. Well, the flipSYNC from Scosche looks like an ordinary cable, an ordinary fob you might have on your keychain, but it can actually be unplugged from your laptop and turned into a iPhone USB cable.

That way you don’t have to worry about not having an iPhone cable with you at all times. The flipSYNC should be available very soon, but there is no pricing information yet.

iPhone gets a full-size QWERTY keyboard

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on January 10th, 2010

Now here’s how you turn your iPhone into a PC. Ion has two prototype full-size keyboards for the Apple iPhone. As you can see you just dock your iPhone in and type away.

One of the prototypes uses flat, MacBook-style keys, and the other uses standard PC keyboard keys. It’s called the iType. The keyboard has its own battery, which can also charge the iPhone. I guess it’s a good idea if you are at home with a million emails to sort through.

AirStash wireless iPhone storage

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on January 4th, 2010

iPhones and iPod Touches come in 32GB capacities now, but if you have an earlier model you may be stuck with 8GB. What can you do? Well, you can get an AirStash. The device adds wireless storage to your i-device so you can free up some internal storage.

It looks like a large flash drive with a USB plug on one end and an SD slot on the other. Just charge it, load some content on it and you are good to go. You can connect to it wirelessly from your handset. There are some security concerns, but hopefully they will be addressed real soon.

Mophie iPhone credit card reader

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on December 31st, 2009

iPhone accessory maker Mophie has something interesting up its sleeve. They will be offering a credit card reader for the smartphone along with a transaction app. The whole thing is integrated into an iPhone case, so you can keep the reader on permanently, as long as you don’t mind the added bulk.

As long as the app is good and the price of the service is affordable, this should do well. Assuming you use your credit card often anyway. We should get more info at CES 2010.

There are all kinds of gadgets for cyclists and now there’s an iPhone app/accessory kit for them as well. The finishing touches are still being worked on, but they’ve made their Pedal Brain kit official anyway. Think of it as a Nike+ for cyclists.

It comes with a case accessory that uses the ANT+ wireless protocol to relay all of the information from your bike. That info is processed and analyzed by the Pedal Brain app. Pedal Brain also features a coaching feature that will let you make your own training plans and sell them through the app (They take a $4 a month cut).
