BlockDock iPad Dock

We’ve seen plenty of iPad docks, some sophisticated, some simple. The latest is the BlockDock, which goes into the simple category, featuring a minimalist design hand crafted from wood. It’s a piece of wood with a notch in it.

You could probably make this yourself very easily. The BlockDock iPad dock is available for $12.95. At least they didn’t try to charge more for it. It actually looks more elegant than many of the high priced docks.

Prada iPad Case is expensive, fugly

The latest overpriced case for your iPad comes from fashion whore Prada. The Prada Nylon iPad case comes in both red (rosso) and pink (peonia) and features the signature Prada triangle logo, with silver color hardware, padding, and an interior pocket.

None of that makes it worth anything close to it’s $420 asking price. Plus they are ugly. But if you absolutely need to follow the herd, they can be found at Neiman Marcus.

Altec Lansing announces Octiv Stage iPad dock

Altec Lansing is introducing the Octiv Stage iPad dock, which will keep your iPad charged when connected and allow you to position your iPad in a horizontal or vertical configuration. The rotating arm will also allow you to tilt the display for comfortable viewing or typing.

The device will cost you $150 and comes with a wireless remote. It’s two 50mm neodymium speakers are specially tuned to deliver a more center performance, which is better for dialogue, aside from stereo audio. iPods and iPhones are also compatible and non-Apple hardware can be hooked up via a 3.5mm auxiliary jack.

Elgato EyeTV Netstream streams satellite TV to your iPad

Those of you in the UK will soon be able to get your hands on Elgato’s new EyeTV Netstream Sat box. It will allow you to stream Freesat satellite TV to any computer on your home network and straight to your iPad as well via Elgato’s EyeTV app. Apparently not the iPhone or iPod touch though.

The device will start shipping on November 22nd for £189.95 (about $300). The EyeTV app itself will cost you just £2.99. Those of us in the US are envious.

Zaggmate iPad keyboard case

Here’s yet another iPad case with an accompanying keyboard, from Zagg. The Zaggmate has two models available: one with a keyboard and one without. It’s a clip-on stand that can elevate your iPad horizontally or vertically for easier viewing.

The keyboard model offers a full QWERTY keyboard. It’s currently listed as ‘Coming Soon,’ with the standard model costing $69.99 and the keyboard model costing $30 more. Do you like this one better than other models or are you happy with your iPad the way it is?

If you want to mount your iPad under a cabinet, Griffin has unveiled a new iPad cabinet mount that will help you. It will mount under, beside or on any cabinet anywhere as long as that cabinet is 14-inches deep or more. It also works hanging under a kitchen cabinet if you have the room.

This mount makes it easy to get the most out of your iPad. It has an articulating arm that moves 90-degrees forward and backward allowing it to fold flat under the cabinet when you are finished with your video, recipes or whatever. The arm also rotates in a compete circle so you can view it from any angle.

We’ve seen our share of iPad cases, and now Booq Boa has launched a new Boa folio iPad case to their range of cases. This new iPad case allows you to use your iPad in three positions: flat on a desk or your lap, slightly elevated, or near vertical for watching movies.

The iPad is showing up in so many diverse situations, proving that it really is a great and useful tablet. Well here’s another use. Now you can stick it on the top of a pole! Yes a pole. Why would you do that? Well, there could be many reasons.

The “iStand” comes from Danish designers InSilico. It includes a space for a dock-cable and security bolts to prevent anyone from running off with it easily. It also comes with two apps for CMS (content management), iCatalogue and iMagazine (PDF display). The iStand is aimed at those who spend time browsing things while standing.
