Today marks the arrival of BioWare’s next role-playing game. The creators of “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic” and “Jade Empire” return with a new science fiction IP they call “Mass Effect” made exclusively for the Microsoft Xbox 360.

The game lets you assume the role of a human military officer named Samuel Shepard. Set in the distant future when humans have colonized the galaxy and interact with alien races, Shepard is given orders to investigate a discovery on a far-off planet that could jeopardize the lives of hundreds of billions. By interacting with non-player characters, using the squad-based combat system and exploring alien worlds in search of clues you will uncover the cosmic danger that lies in store for the galaxy and hopefully find a means to prevent disaster.

THQ has confirmed that there is a Conan game in the works. This game will be released for both the 360 and the PS3 and is being developed by the same guys who brought Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects to the PS2 – Nihilistic Software.

SlipperyBrick is a huge fan of the Fallout franchise. In fact, I would rank the Fallout series as my all time favorite right behind Planescape: Torment. I loved the Fallout humor. On January 18th, Bethesda announced another expansion to their incredible game, Oblivion. Oblivion is of course known for its machine busting graphics and open-ended game play.

Bethesda says that there is about 30 more hours of gameplay in the expansion. The expansion allows you to explore the realm of Sheogorath, whom you of course remember as the Prince of Madness (I hear he is terribly fun at parties).
