But I know that many people collect them and just can’t get enough, having to buy one after another like good little tourists. Well, the Really Snowing picture frame should replace the snowglobe once and for all.

Now you can put your family and anyone else into a snowy scene. Plus there’s no need to shake it. The snow is automatic thanks to a battery powered pump.

Retro TV digital photo frameWe’ve seen all kinds of digital photo frames, but this one comes in a retro form, looking like a retro TV. Which is a much cooler form than what we typically see. This one comes from Japan’s mag labs.

It packs in a small 3.5 inch screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, with 128 mb of memory and an SD card slot. It won’t play I love Lucy or Leave it to Beaver, but it does support playback of AVI and MP3 files and is powered by AC adapter or the built in Lithium Ion battery.

Jobo’s new Curve Digital Picture FramesThose who like to show off family pictures will be happy to know that Jobo’s latest Curve 7 and Curve 8 digital picture frames both have full-screen and thumbnail modes and can display the images as a slideshow with a limited set of transitions.

The Jobo Curve 7 features a 7-inch color TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480×234 pixels and Zoom mode. While the Jobo Curve 8 features an 8-inch color TFT LCD display with a higher resolution of 800×600 pixels and 4:3 aspect ratio.

So companies keep throwing more features at us so that we may decide to buy one. That’s why Kogan’s 8-inch WiFi LCD digiframe features a bunch of tricks we’ve seen before, along with a few that are new.

It will accept photos via email, RSS feeds, Flickr, and Facebook. Email pics to a central address and see them displayed on a group of these things. With the free SeeFrame app for iPhone you can even send images directly from your handset. You can view your Twitter feed as well.

The frame will not only show local photos, play video and stream music from across a network, but it can sync with your calendar, show emails and allow for replies, and view photos from Picasa, Photobucket, Facebook and a Windows Live account. All in one device. Connectivity includes WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, infrared (for the remote control), a multiformat memory card slot and both full-sized USB and a micro-USB port.

IPEVO announced today at the Consumer Electronics Show an Internet connected digital image frame. It is called the Kaleido R7 and it will be available in March.

The IPEVO Kaleido R7 incorporates what is described as computer-centric behavior in how it provides consumers access to favorite Web content via wireless streaming and syncing. A channel based concept allows users of this frame to subscribe to content from photo-sharing Web sites like Flickr and Picasa, as well as news or blogs via RSS feeds. This is in addition to the traditional method of accessing content stored on computer hard disk or memory storage devices.

Samsung digital frames are also a second PC monitorLooking like typical Samsung LCD digital photo frames, these have an interesting and more useful feature. You can use them as a secondary PC monitor and you won’t need a special video card. The 8-Inch Samsung SPF-85H LCD will cost you $142 and 10-inch Samsung SPF-105P LCD costs $204.

Thanks to some hocus pocus called UbiSync PC, you can display computer imagery on them via the USB port. The 8-inch version will give you 800×600 resolution, while the 10-inch has a 1024×600 screen. Both models offer 1GB of internal image storage and a memory card slot if you want to use them as a plain old digital photo frame. Pretty cool.

Digital Foci is rolling out another new digital picture frame to the masses which is reportedly the highest pixel density frame on the market currently. It is called the Image Moments 6 and you’ll find it pricing around $150.

The Digital Foci Image Moments 6 sports a 5.7-inch VGA LCD screen with a pixel density of some 140 ppi. It is built into a two-tone chrome finish and can play photos, video and music files from multiple sources at the same time, though these sources are via internal memory and inserted memory cards.

Digital photo frame developer Smartpants has veiled what it says is the world’s largest, at the moment, WiFi digital picture frame. It is known as the SP3200WF and there is no pricing or availability information as of you.

The SP3200WF from Smartpants sports a 32-inch picture frame which is 16:9 widescreen and sports a resolution of 1366 x 768. It syncs to a PC wirelessly and includes 256MB of internal memory as well as optional memory card support. It is also Windows Live friendly, working with Microsoft’s Windows Live Photo Gallery application to share and view photos online or directly on the frame.

Digital Foci, which first announced its Digital Foci Pocket Album OLED Series back at CES, said today the digital keychain photo viewers are now available at retail. The Pocket Album OLED 1.5 will run you around $50.

The Digital Foci Album OLED 1.5 sports a 1.5-inch OLED screen with a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. It has enough internal memory to hold around 124 photos, which are loaded through USB. USB also handles the charging of this keychain, which is said to have a battery life around five hours.

It boasts a sharp high-resolution (800×480) TFT panel with 2GB of internal memory. The device also sports several new features, like the MyShow custom slideshow creator, Automatic Orientation Sensor for landscape or portrait viewing, and NaturaTone intelligent skin color enhancement that will give you superb image quality.

Some other features would be a desktop clock and calendar, clock/radio, and MP3 player and alarm clock. No word on pricing or availability yet, but it’s sure to be popular.

Kodak’s latest digital picture frame is one sporting a touch sensitive control for navigating images. It is called the EasyShare P520 Digital Frame and it prices around $80.

The P520, on sale in September, is built around its five-inch screen. Chief among features is the “Quick Touch Border,” a function which lets you navigate stored photos with a touch or slide of your finger. Memory is expandable via the SD slot and one can also plug in a USB stick for photo viewing. Two color-coordinated interchangeable mattes – red and sliver – and photo management software are also included.
