Some of the Eee Keyboard’s specs include a 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 16 or 32GB solid-state hard disk, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and HDMI. We don’t have a price yet, but we’re hoping that Asus can keep it reasonable.

Microsoft’s new keyboard is thin, sexy

Microsoft’s new keyboard is thin, sexyIt’s hard to make a keyboard sexy. I mean, it is what it is, and it has to be comfortable and not injure you terribly bad, while maintaining a size that’s also comfortable. So, we really have to give props to Microsoft on this one.

The new Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard is sexy, curvy and just plain looks pleasant. It even has a sexy little numpad that’s like a sidecar. The keyboard is thin enough to slip into a manila envelope. It’s as thick as a AAA battery at the back, thinner than that in front.

Keyscaper offers custom printed keyboards

keyscraperkb-sbWhen it comes to keyboards there are not that many color options. You can get black, gray, or that lovely beige color. All of them are rather plain and don’t let users express themselves much. A new line of keyboards from Keyscaper will change that.

The keyboards are custom printed with stock photography, Pac-10 college football mascots, and colors, or with Garfield. The technology used to print the keyboards doesn’t involve wraps or stickers.

see2xtreme-sbHaving multiple monitors on your computer is a great way to get more productivity by being able to get more on the screen at one time. The catch is that notebooks and some desktop computers aren’t made to support more than one monitor.

Tritton has offered external USB GPUs for a while now and the company has now announced that it is offering two of its external GPUs at Best Buy and on BestBuy.com. The GPUs include the UV150 and the See2 Extreme and both plug into a USB port and allow the addition of one monitor.

MIMOMonitors unveils new 710-S folding mini-monitor

mimiusbmonitor-sbEach time I use my netbook I think that it would be great if I had more screen space. The problem is that I am using my netbook for portability and a larger screen kills the portability. A second monitor to take with me when I am working from the netbook would be perfect.

The caveat again is that secondary screens are typically bulky and need a power outlet to work. MIMOMonitors has announced a new foldable mini-monitor for people who are on the go and need a lightweight and compact secondary screen.

Orcish World Of Warcraft PC case

Orcish World Of Warcraft PC caseI’m not a WOW player, but this PC case with WOW art on it looks pretty damn sweet, featuring some Orc artwork. The translations make it difficult to figure out, but this is either a retail case or a PC case mod that will cost you $299.

If I was an uber WOW geek, I would snag this one up quick and brag to all of my guild mates about it. Then they would have no choice but to make me guild leader. One day it will happen. One day. It has to. It’s all I have. It is my destiny.

Mogo Mouse for Netbooks launches

Posted in Computer Components by Shane McGlaun on August 6th, 2009

mogo-x54_netbook-sbOne of the things I dislike most about notebooks and especially netbooks is the track pad. Most netbooks have the track pad so close to the keyboard that I end up hitting the track pad with the palm of my hand while typing.

That means I like to have a notebook mouse with me at all times. One of the coolest mice for notebooks is the Mogo Mouse that stores in the PC Card slot. The catch for netbooks is that the little machines lack a PC Card slot.

Q1 to Q2 sales traditionally decline according to JPR with summer vacations and consumers getting ready for the fall.
