Microsoft is showing off today a new wireless laser desktop combo which is somewhat designer focused. It is called the Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 7000 and it prices around $130.

The Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 7000 is what Microsoft called “Windows Aero inspired.” It offers up a thin design in the keyboard, complete with “smoked” translucent border and “floating” keys which can be personalized. The keyboard also is designed to be ergonomically friendly.

Look around your desk and keyboard area. Go ahead. I’ll wait. You see all that clutter that’s taking up valuable real estate? I’m not judging you. It happens. The Keyboard Organizer wants to help you keep your keyboard area tidy and organized. It’s the world’s first patented storage caddy inside of a working keyboard!

Think of all the stuff you can hide from your friends. Granted, it’s probably going to be all useless stuff like paperclips and Rainbow Brite stickers, but it’s always cool to have a hiding place. If you pre-ordered one of those Optimus Maximus keyboards last year then you might be seeing it on your doorstep soon as the Art Lebedev studio has finally started shipping them, at least the ones without the passive keys. In case you don’t remember, this keyboard is the one that has an individual OLED display for each key, letting you customize each display and function the the Configurator software which is also available for download now.

The Art Lebedev site is showing four different configurations of the keyboard ranging in price from about $1560 USD for a keyboard with all 113 active keys, down to just $462 USD for a keyboard with just the spacebar active. The company says you get sucked in with just the one key to start with and buy more active keys to replace the passive ones as you can afford them. The passive keyboard models will be available in another month.

You work in an area, like a hospital, where contagious germs abound. Or, you are simply very germ phobic. Either way you probably wouldn’t mind getting your gloved hands on a computer keyboard which is dishwasher safe. Meet the Silver Seal from Seal Shield, announced first last year and now available.

The Silver Seal keyboard is, according to Seal Shield, fully submersible, dishwasher safe and manufactured from special plastic. This plastic is antimicrobial, using “all natural” pure silver ions embedded in it to ward off germs. Silver is described as a “natural antibacterial product” - hence why it has been incorporated into the plastic.

With the BKBU-SKJ109/SV Buffalo keyboard and built-in Skype phone, you’ll have everything you need to communicate with the outside world right at your fingertips. This would be a great addition to any evil villains HQ, whether your mind is on the business of the day or taking over the world by night.(Though you might look a tad dorky on the phone as it looks a bit like a toy.)

The receiver is Skype certified, so it’s pretty much ready to go. You just need Skype on your machine and the appropriate software. The downside, as mentioned earlier is that the set is pretty small. I know they didn’t want to make the keyboard larger then necessary, but it is a bit funny looking. That’s okay though, once you take over the world, no one will laugh. Until then just tell yourself size doesn’t matter.

Logitech has revealed at CES a new keyboard-and-mouse combination which features its well regarded MX Revolution cordless laser mouse and a premium keyboard. It’s called the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution and it is set to price at around $170.

The Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution features prominently Logitech’s MX Revolution mouse. It sports a special scroll wheel, among other features, which lets users either zip through Web pages and documents or lets them have precision movement through lists and such. It’s joined by a keyboard which has a built-in LCD screen to display information like ime and date, calculator, temperature, Web site favorites, a keystroke counter, e-mail updates and media information, such as band and song titles.

Say you have your PC connected to your television. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a small keyboard to help you control your PC entertainment? Logitech has your answer at CES - the new Logitech diNovo Mini, priced at around $150.

The Logitech diNovo Mini is a mini-keyboard which uses Bluetooth 2.0 technology to communicate with a linked PC. Through the diNovo Mini you can control Web and media functions like you were using a full keyboard. There’s a self described “ClickPad” which can be used either as a touch pad for mouse-like functions or as a directional pad to navigate and make selections. The ClickPad features as well two backlight modes.

This flexible Keyboard & Skype dial pad with USB hub is super versatile, bendy, multimedia coolness. They claim that it’s a virtually indestructible, washable, roll-up keyboard with a Skype dial pad, built in microphone and speaker as well as having 2 USB ports.

A plus for alot of people is that, being washable, this keyboard will be very hygienic. That means less getting sick. Just wipe up any spilled liquid with a damp cloth and it’s clean. Since it’s bendable, it’s ultra Portable and easy to store. Just shove it in a backpack or briefcase. It has a bunch of great qualities for only $59.99.

The team behind the Optimus Maximus OLED Keyboard, has another cool concept for another keyboard. It doesn’t have actual keys, which means no restrictions on their shape and size.

Any part of the keyboard is fully programmable and capable of displaying an image. It would also feature a typing mode and a video mode. Very awesome indeed. It really opens up the interface to all kinds of possibilities, literally putting everything at your fingertips.

Gaming peripherals developer Everglide is out today with a new gaming keyboard/mouse pad combo which borrows some ideas from Razer. The Everglide DKTBoard is priced at around $70.

The Everglide DKTBoard is a slim, backlit keyboard with a brushed-aluminum chassis. Everglide says it uses a “slim keycap structure” for better key response and tactile feel while gaming. There exists on the keyboard eight one-touch hot keys and the size of this input device is detailed as being 402mm x 148mm x 24mm.

The Saitek Cyborg Keyboard comes in that black-on-silver motif that tells visitors to your domain that you’re serious about your PC gaming. The keyboard has a ton of nice features that tell us it will be a valuable friend during our upcoming “Unreal Tournament 34″ deathmatching including having metal plating over the most commonly used gaming keys; multi-color backlighting which you can adjust for brightness as well as choose your favorite color combos; a dozen programmable macro keys; a wrist resting station; USB, audio and microphone ports and gold-plated connectors. So where’s the Big Gulp connection port?

Razer, a gaming hardware specialty company, today unveiled two new PC gaming accessories. The Razer Lycosa keyboard and Piranha headset are both priced at around $80 and will be available in November and October respectively.

The Razer Lycosa offers an extremely fast response time to allow for more efficient gameplay. Its keypads are illuminated, non-slip and made of rubber as well as being full programmable. There’s also customizable gaming profiles, a USB port, detachable wrist rest and dedicated media keys.

Now that fall has finally arrived and the days are growing shorter darkness falls earlier each day. If you want to bring a little light into your work environment and pick up your spirits on gloomy days consider investing $27 and pick up a Flexible Illuminated Full Sized Keyboard from Hong Kong-based Brando.

The silicon material that the keyboard is made from is flexible enough that you can roll it up or twist and turn it. Dimensions are 49×13 mm and it only weighs 335 grams so packing it around shouldn’t be too much of a burden. The illumination can be seen in a lighted environment but of course it looks better in a low light or dark room.

Kensington has announced the release of a new line of low-profile notebook peripherals today, targeting those on that are on the go and desire mice and keyboards that pack well and look good. The new line from the company called SlimBlade rolled out with 5 new mice and a configurable Media Notebook set, all having a slim profile and smooth appearance.

The SlimBlade Presenter mouse is a wireless laser tracking mouse and comes in either Ice Blue or Deep Blue. It features a battery level indicator, 4-way scrolling, auto power savings and a backlight to let you know when you are ready with your presentation. The Presenter retails for $49.99

Logitech has announced a new wireless keyboard and headset designed for use with the Playstation 3 game console coming to shelves yet this fall. Both PS3 accessories will use Bluetooth technology to connect to the game console.

The new keyboard from Logitech connects to the PS3 wirelessly and runs on two AA batteries promising up to 200 hours of use. The MediaBoard Pro Bluetooth Keyboard comes in a thin, glossy black finish with many features designed specifically for interacting with the PS3. The keyboard has a built-in touchpad on the right, similar to a notebook touchpad with scrolling and left and right button clicks in the place of a mouse. It also has dedicated keys to simulate the controller buttons such as circle, square and triangle, along with shortcut keys for web browsing and movie menus. And of course the full keyboard works well for fast harassing during gaming and eases the setup of profiles and entering URL’s.
