Toshiba is no stranger to churning out laptops of all sizes. Now they are introducing two new CULV models: the 13.3-inch MX/43 and 11.6-inch MX/33. Both come make some trade-offs to performance for portability, but the MX/43 is the more balanced model.

The MX/43 features a Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor, 2GB of RAM (up to 8GB), a 250GB hard drive, 10.5 hours of battery life, and Windows 7 Home Premium. The MX/33 takes thing down a notch with a 1.3GHz Celeron 743 processor and a smaller battery, but you can get it in three different colors.

Toshiba has another first on their hands with the 55-inch Cell Regza 55X1, the first LCD HDTV to be equipped with a Cell chip. The 55X1 offers a peak luminance of 1250 cd/m2, LED backlighting, a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 240Hz scanning, and Super Resolution technology which makes use of Cell power for greater image quality.

Some other features include a 7-speaker sound bar, DLNA support, an internet browser from Opera Software, HDMI and USB, and an SD card slot. You also get a ‘tuner box’ with 3TB of storage space, 2TB of that will be devoted to the “time-shift machine” feature, which can simultaneously record up to 26 hours of programming on up to eight channels.

Looks like Toshiba is getting the rest of it’s products up to speed with Blu-ray drives. The new Qosmio X500 gaming laptop is a good example. Just like the previous models, this one is big and bulky and for gamers.

It sports an 18.4-inch, 1920 x 1080 screen, 2.8GHz Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250MNV graphics, up to 8GB of RAM, dual 500GB hard drives, Blu-ray drive and a Blu-ray burner.

Check out this Toshiba/Ducati love child. We’ll leave it up to you as to whether it’s awesome or disastrous. The Toshiba U500 Ducati laptop does look good, we have to give it props there. It features an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics card, along with a Core 2 Duo 8700 processor and 4GB of RAM. Looks like it might also run on Windows 7.

Nothing on a release date yet though and we don’t have a price, but you can expect it to be very expensive since it has two big time brand names on it.

Toshiba’s Satellite L355 is a 17″ laptop running an Intel Celeron Processor. It’s got a great price and you know what that means. You’ll have to make some sacrifices. It doesn’t have a webcam, or HDMI and no memory card reader. Other than that, it’s not bad. This entry level L355 is only $348 and goes on sale at Walmart this Sunday.

Sure, there’s no HD, webcam and the processor is on thew slow end, but if you do not do any serious computing, it’s a winner. It features 3GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive.

I always knew that Blu-ray would win the format war with Sony on its side selling the PS3. The PS2 helped get the DVD player into the homes of gobs of people and I figured the PS3 would do the same for Blu-ray.

Toshiba was the main backer of HD DVD and when its format was defeated it stayed out of the HD format market for movie players. The company decided this year to get back into the HD payer market and has announced that it has applied to be part of the Blu-ray disc association.

There are gobs of external storage products on the market that serve a variety of needs. You can find big drives for backing up data in your home and you can find small drives for backing up data on the road.

Toshiba has announced that it is now in the external storage solution market with a drive using 3.5-inch HDDs for the desktop market. The drive will be offered with 640GB of storage and 1TB of storage. Both versions will offer USB 2.0 and eSATA connectivity.

Toshiba has just unveiled a truly kitchen-friendly TV with the 19LV612U. The 18.5-inch set features a built-in slot-loading DVD player, integrated ATSC / NTSC / QAM TV tuner and a 1,366 x 768 native resolution. And just look at that stainless steel coating, which will match your other modern appliances.

Some other specs include a brightness of 300, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, HDMI / VGA inputs, a headphone jack and VESA mount support. It will distract you from preparing and eating meals this September for a price of $349.99. I wonder if it cleans up easy.

You don’t own a digiframe yet? You’ve probably been waiting for some better features with some social networking built in. You’re in luck. This one may look like all the rest, but it supports FrameChannel accounts, so you’ll never be far from your personalized weather, traffic, sports scores, music, and video.

It’s also got Flickr, Photobucket, and Facebook integration. Isn’t that just what you want in a fancy picture frame? This one is available in August, with the 8-inch frame in white (DMF82XWU) or black (DMF82XKU) for just $179.99.

Most students haven’t been out of school very long for the summer. Despite that fact, it’s already time for most parents to be gearing up for back to school shopping. If you have a student, going off to college a new notebook may be on the shopping list this year. Toshiba has announced a new series of notebooks perfect for students.

The series is called the Satellite L and starts at $549.99, not much more than some netbooks. The new line includes 14-inch L510 and L515 modes, 15.6-inch L500, 16-inch L505, and a 17.3-inch L550/555 model. The laptops have many features in common like HD TruBrite screens, sleep-and-charge USB ports, and hard drives with capacities from 250GB to 500GB.

One of the hottest and thinnest handsets of this year just made its way to Japan. It’s completely anorexic at less than a centimeter thick. Which is the main thing it has going for it. The NTT DoCoMo T-01A is the same TG01 device revealed by Toshiba back in February running Qualcomm’s ultra-fast 1GHz Snapdragon chipset.

It also features a 4.1-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) resistive touchscreen display; HSDPA, GPS, and WiFi radios; and Toshiba’s custom UI meant to mask its Windows Mobile 6.1 core. Now that Toshiba has unleashed it Japan we look forward to seeing the TG01 launch in Europe and everywhere else.

Toshiba has already begun shipping their Regza HDTVs, which were initially shown off at CES earlier this year. They even added another series to the line up today, called the XV648. First, the SV670 features an LED backlight, a 240Hz panel, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 14-bit color processing and more. It comes in 46-inch and a 55-inch versions that will cost you $2,300 and $3,000.

The ZV650 features a CCFL backlight rather than LED and has a 240Hz panel and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. It comes in sizes ranging from 42-inches to 55-inches and costs from $1,300 to $2,400. Then there’s the XV648, which is new to the Regzas line and features a CCFL display, a 120Hz panel and a CrystalCoat display for better contrast.

Toshiba has a few new Satellite laptops landing in Europe. The A500 features a 16-inch, 16:9 format display (1366 x 768), a TV-tuner for analog and digital DVB-T programming, Harman Kardon speakers and HDMI ports with REGZA LINK technology. Inside it packs an Intel Core 2 Duo, 8GB memory, ATI Mobility Radeon HD GPU (up to 1GB DDR3 VRAM), and either a 500GB HDD or 64GB SSD.

For those looking for an ultra-portable, the U500 is a 13.3-inch (16:10 format, 1280 x 800) ultraportable that weighs under 4.5 pounds. Under the hood you’ll find an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 8 GB memory, a hard disk capacity of up to 500GB, and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 GPU. It’s available in Brown Luxe, with chrome or silver accents. Battery life is over 3.5 hours.

The netbook market is saturated with models form different manufactures, most of which have the same exact specifications. With netbooks being the fastest growing segment in the computer market, more machines will continue to be announced.

Toshiba has announced its first entry into the netbook market called the mini NB205. The netbook has a full-size keyboard and a large track pad along with a 10.1-inch screen that is LED backlit. The machine is available in two models; the NB205-N310 comes with a stylized finish in pink, brown, blue, and white colors. The NB205-N210 comes in a fushion finish in black onyx color.

Here’s another Dynabook notebook from Toshiba. While it looks pretty similar to the rest, the Dynabook Satellite TXW/67JW is available exclusively on its e-Store.
