Samsung unveils first 32GB DDR3 memory module |
There is a huge push in the enterprise computing and data center markets to move to more energy efficient and green servers. The push is not only because green computing is better for the environment, but also because saving power in the data center can mean huge money savings for companies.
Samsung has announced new RAM modules aimed at green computing in data center that are the world’s first 32GB DDR3 modules. The modules operate at 1.35V and have 20% greater throughput compared to 1.5V DDR3 modules.




Video conferencing is becoming an increasingly important part of business communication in the poor economic climate around the world. In better years, companies would just fly employees to a conference to talk business, but now many use video instead.
The Samsung Jet is a speed demon. It’s the Road Runner of cellphones. All others are just Wile E. Coyote. It clocks 800MHz and occasionally utters a beep beep as it passes other handsets in the market that have only just made it past the 500MHz mark.

Samsung has announced it’s first solar powered GSM cellphone, the Crest E1107. It’s for eco-friendly, budget conscious types who want to harness the power of the sun. Supposedly, the Crest can generate enough power for 5-10 minutes of talk time with one hour of sun exposure.

Those looking for an oddly sized 17.3-inch laptop will be happy to see Samsung’s latest offering. This laptop features an LED-backlit panel, ATI’s Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics, stereo speakers (with “subwoofer”), a full-sized numeric keypad next to the QWERTY layout, four USB 2.0 sockets and Windows Vista Home Premium.
It’s been camera shy thus far, but the Samsung I8000 has finally made its first public appearance by way of a Lithuanian online retailer. The I8000 is the successor to the Omnia and will come with the following impressive specs.
All of the phones I have ever owned, including my iPhone, seem to have the camera added as an afterthought. The camera on most phones is junk that won’t take a decent picture, especially in low light. The crap camera is my biggest complaint on my iPhone.

Samsung is recalling 160,000 Jitterbug cellphones. The handsets targeted seniors they want them back since they are missing one very important feature. They don’t connect to 911 services whenever the handset is out of their service area.
The Samsung S5050 doesn’t have much to brag about when it comes to specifications. It’s a plain-jane phone with EDGE, Bluetooth, FM radio and a 3.2MP camera. You can save photos on a MicroSDHC card. (8GB max)
There are so many cellular phones on the market that there are devices to suit every need and taste. Many women want a phone that offers good looks in addition to functionality. Samsung and US Cellular announced today that the mobile provider was getting the Samsung Gloss handset.
Sure, Samsung has its some high end phones, but fear not, they’ve also got some entry level handsets for ya. Like the C5510 and S6700. The C5510 has a 2.2″ QVGA display, with 512MB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot. No 3G.
