Samsung outs 23-inch U250 and 20-inch U200 multitouch all-in-one PCs

Officially unveiled today in the UK, Samsung’s new 23-inch U250 and 20-inch U200 all-in-one PCs are going the multitouch route. The U250 offers full 1080p resolution, while the U200 offers 1,600 x 900. Both ship with Windows 7 Home Premium.

These machines are Samsung’s first venture into the home PC market in the UK. So you would think we would have a decent specification sheet, but oh well. They’ll ship later this month for those who want them.

Barbie X170 Core 2 Duo Notebook

Samsung has released a Barbie Special Edition of its X170 Notebook in Korea. I guess Ken just has to share hers. The very slim and powerful Core 2 Duo with its 4GB of RAM and 500GB HDD will be available in Black or Pink.

And it also comes with a huge amount of Barbie stuff ranging from logos, screen saver, desktops icons, an eating disorder for your teen and likely a subscription to some fashion mags.

Samsung Monte Iron Man Edition

Samsung Mobile fans who also happen to be comic book fans will love this news. This new special edition of the Samsung Monte has an Iron Man theme and features like a 3 inch capacitive touchscreen, 3.2 mp camera, FM, GPS, Wi-fi and Bluetooth.

You’ll also get some heavy Iron Man content in the SD card that comes along with it. This special edition became available on May 1st so you can get one now. It’s not just for Stark Industries employees.

Samsung’s 1TB / 2TB external Story hard drive gets USB 3.0

Samsung’s Story hard drive has just made the leap to SuperSpeed. It was introduced today as the fastest Story of all time and aside from USB 3.0, not much else has changed.

The enclosure remains the same, the capacity choices (1TB or 2TB) are also unchanged. The removal of eSATA may disappoint some, but the USB 2.0 + eSATA version should still be around in some places.

Samsung LN46C750 3D LCD TV available on Amazon

I am just about ready to jump on the 3D TV bandwagon. I am waiting for screens that don’t need glasses before I bite and those are probably coming soon. If you can’t wait any longer, a new Samsung 3D TV has landed on Amazon.

The TV is the Samsung 46-inch LN46C750 and it has full 1080p resolution. The TV supports 3D and has a pair of 10W speakers. Other features include a wide color enhancer, and support for Skype on Samsung TV.

Samsung and Sprint announce the Samsung Restore

Samsung and Sprint have teamed up to launch a new green mobile phone to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. The Samsung Restore features a body made from post consumer recycled plastic, plus 84 percent of the Samsung Restore is recyclable.

Some specs include a slide out QWERTY keyboard with an optical joystick, a two megapixel camera, a microSD card slot and stereo Bluetooth. The Samsung Restore will be available on Sprint this summer in two colors, Midnight and Limeade.

Samsung in production with new 20nm NAND Flash

With each successive generation of flash storage, prices go down and storage capacities increase. This is due to the smaller build processes producing more NAND chips and the smaller chips being able to be used in higher densities inside devices.

Samsung has announced that it is now introduction with a new line of 20nm NAND flash chips that use MLC tech. The new chips are being made in 32Gb capacity and will be used in smartphones, memory cards, and other devices.

Samsung AMOLED Beam SPH-W9600 projector phone

Samsung is introducing the Beam SPH-W9600 in Korea. It comes with a 3.3 inch AMOLED screen with touch sensitivity, a 5 megapixel camera and a 9 lumen projector module that will throw images up to 50 inches.

This one is 1.5 times brighter than their last effort. Some other features include Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, HSDPA, DMB terrestrial digital TV tuner, front facing camera, 11 GB of on-board memory and a card slot for expansion. No word on availability of the Samsung beam here or in Europe, but time will tell.

Samsung DTVs get InstaPort S tech

I am not a very patient person. I want my computer to switch web pages right now, and I don’t want to wait when I click a link for a page to load. I want things to be like flipping TV channels. I really get frustrated waiting on my TV to change inputs when I am watching movies.

Silicon Image has announced that its cool InstaPort S technology will be used in the new line of Samsung LED and LCD TVs. The technology promises to change HDMI inputs in one second. That means you will not have to wait while the input looks for a source and all that.

Samsung Corby Spring Edition

Samsung Electronics will be unveiling some newly colored Corby phones with the Spring Edition. These are aimed at the young crowd who have nothing to do but carry Easter colored phones and text endlessly.

The colors are Lilac Blue, Violet Purple, Freesia Yellow, Peppermint Green and Rosemary Pink. Women-folk and guys who wear pink shirts won’t mind at all. The rest of us will probably pass.

Samsung announces Android-powered Galaxy S phone

Samsung has officially announced its Android-powered Galaxy S smartphone which features a spacious 4-inch Super AMOLED display. Samsung’s Smart Life concept will have the Galaxy S use personal preferences to gather the information online that each user needs or wants, making for a more personal experience.

Nothing on pricing or a release date for the Galaxy S yet, but it should arrive soon. Specs of the Samsung Galaxy S include a 1GHz processor, Bluetooth, 720p HD video playback and a Layar Augmented Reality browser preloaded.

Samsung Diva S7070 Luxury Gold edition

Are you a Diva? Do you spend all morning bitching about your director and the script to the make-up person? Have you gotten anyone fired yet today? Well, if you are a Diva, the Samsung Diva S7070 is for you. It comes in black and white and very soon it will arrive in a Luxury Gold edition.

The Samsung Diva S7070 will come with similar hardware specs as the original, like a 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen display with 16 million colors, the TouchWiz UI, an accelerometer, social networking integration, and a 3.2-megapixel. No word on price yet, but it’s a phone meant for a Diva like you.

Samsung launches 3 new hybrid PDP TVs in Korea

Samsung will be adding some new TVs to their PDP TV 5 and PDP TV 4 series of TVs. The series 5 includes the PN50C550G1F TV and the series 4 will include the PN42C430A1D and the PN50C430A1D models. The new models improve the quality of images using ‘Clear Panel Technology’ for clearer images.

Some other features include ‘FilterBright Antiglare Technology’ for reduction of glare, ‘Eco Sensor’, 600 Hz subfield motion technology and USB playback. The series 5 50 inch version of the TV will cost you about $1,675 while the series 4 counterpart will cost you $1,411.

Samsung set to issue Android 2.1 update for Galaxy Spica i5700

Samsung outed the Galaxy i5700 late last year and it was a nice handset for many people. Samsung has announced that it is set to issue an update to owners of the device that will bring it to a newer version of Android and add features.

The update will bring the Galaxy to Android 2.1 and add new features. The new update won’t come over the air as most Android updates do for the i5700. The user will have to install the Samsung PC Studio 7 software that came with the phone or download the software from the Samsung website.

AT&T lands new Samsung Strive and Sunburst

When it comes time to look for a phone on AT&T, most geeks are going to go for the iPhone. There are some folks out there that want a cheaper device on the AT&T network and the carrier has a couple new handsets coming soon.

The new devices include the Samsung Sunburst sporting a 3-inch touchscreen with onscreen keyboard. The handset also has a 2MP camera/camcorder and supports multiple messaging options. Bluetooth is included and the device supports premium AT&T services.
