Samsung has announced not one, but two new music players for music lovers. The YP-Q3 and YP-U6 will both be showcased at the upcoming IFA show.

The YP-Q2 features a simple design with a color-matching user interface, 5.1-channel sound support, SoundAlive, and up to 45 hours of audio playback and 6-hours of video playback. The YP-U6 is a simpler media player with a color display, SoundAlive, fitness mode, voice feedback, and up to 20 hours of continuous audio playback per charge.

Looks like Samsung has expanded its fledgling Bada-based phone line by launching the Wave 723. It’s a step below the original Wave with a 3.2-inch LCD instead of Super AMOLED, but it does have a unique leather flip cover built into the body itself to protect the phone’s screen.

Most of the other features have crossed over, including the 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and the five-megapixel camera with flash. The phone is one of the first to use Bada 1.1 out of the box and can run apps from the first Wave, or other Bada phones, at native resolution without too much extra work.

Samsung claims that they’ve sold a million Galaxy S phones in the US over just a month and a half. We know those aren’t iPhone 4 worthy numbers, but that is pretty amazing.

The success isn’t limited to the US. It took Samsung just three weeks to sell a million Galaxy S smartphones globally and they did that before the device even arrived in the US. The company has sold 300,000 in S. Korea alone during that time and 900,000 for the quarter.

A Verizon training document seems to indicate that the Samsung Fascinate will launch on September 9th. The document is part of a pre-paid training series being offered to VZW employees. The date of 9/9/2010 is listed.

All evidence points to a September 9th launch for the Fascinate and also Verizon Wireless will be offering the DROID 2, DROID X, DROID Incredible, and Fascinate as pre-pay devices. And despite that 9/9/2010 date, Best Buy’s just started taking in-store pre-orders for the Fascinate.

Is Samsung even trying to keep the Galaxy Tab‘s details a secret? Apparently not. Now some accessories for the upcoming 7-inch Android tablet have been spotted on one of Samsung’s online portals, with pricing details.

The “table charging station” on the top left has a set of HDMI and audio output ports, so you can watch movies on your HDTV. It’s priced at €54 ($69). The keyboard peripheral will cost you €82 ($105), while the leather case is a bargain at €41 ($52).

The Samsung Galaxy S handset already has a user-replaceable battery. The kind you don’t even have to unscrew some screws to get at even. Just open the back cover and swap it out for a fresh one. It’s designed to be that easy.

So we aren’t sure why you would want to bulk up your phone with this thing, even if it does give you an extra 8.5 hours of talk time. Still, we’ve seen worse. Nothing on pricing or availability yet.

Samsung has announced that they will no longer be in the e-paper panel production industry, citing “cost issues” and a dim view of e-paper’s future. This is interesting news, because if a giant like Samsung is walking away from the e-paper business, who else is getting ready to leave?

Samsung will still be involved with the e-book reader market though and will release a new model next year that will ditch e-paper in favor of an LCD display. Poor sales obviously helped fuel this decision.

Now we have something official. The official Samsung Galaxy Tab teaser video reveals several features that were previously only rumored or hinted at. It has Android 2.2 on a 7-inch display, video calling, Swype, HD movie playback, “Flash support,” GPS navigation, an e-reader, and a whole lot more.

The video also references augmented reality and video calling (which might indicate a front-facing). And in one shot there’s what appears to be a LED flash bulb next to the camera. They don’t call them teaser videos for nothing.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab should get official soon since we’ve already seen some pictures of the device. And now, more pictures of this tablet have surfaced, confirming that it will be running Android 2.2 and sport the model number GT-P1000.

The leak also says that the device is lighter, constructed from lightweight plastic. The 7-inch display will have a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. There’s also the 3.2-megapixel camera, 3G support, and built-in eBook application.

If you picked up Samsung’s 640GB S2 portable USB hard drive earlier in the year, we have some bad news.

The company just updated the drive with a USB 3.0 interface and a 7,200RPM speed that outdoes its predecessor. Oh well, if only you had waited. Then again, you probably just wanted the Michael Jackson edition. But if you want to upgrade, these hard disks are much faster now, with USB 3.0.

About 800,000 units of the Galaxy S phone have already sold in Korea. So some of these folks who didn’t buy it may just like it in white and buy it after all. That’s why Samsung has released a new White version of the phone. This high-gloss White model has a chrome bezel and a black front.

So if you are in South Korea and wanted the phone in white, feel free to get one now. An international version of the white version is expected soon. Dirty fingerprints will be right behind.

Boost Mobile is the pre-paid division of Sprint and the company offers several handsets all sans contract. Boost has announced that it is getting its first touchscreen phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard in a few weeks.

The device is set to hit Boost online on August 25 for $149.99. The handset will also be in retail stores then as well and in other locations by October. The Seek has that slide out QWERTY keyboard we already mentioned and is packed with messaging options.

I usually venture into a RadioShack store once a year or so when I am in the mall around Christmas just to see all the sweet remote control toys they carry. The Shack has been working hard to get people to come in more and one of the ways that it has pulled that off is by turning itself into a seller of all wireless phones.

The Shack is offering the sweet new Galaxy S smartphone on three different carriers all in one place. You can get the Galaxy S as the Epic for Sprint, Vibrant for T-Mobile, or the Captivate for AT&T. The AT&T device sells for $199, while the other two are apparently going for $149.99.

Samsung has announced a bunch of new accessories for the Galaxy S smartphone recently and here is another. The WMG160 Wi-Fi streaming device. It’s capable of enabling a Galaxy S smartphone to stream multimedia content to the HDTV in resolutions of up to 720p without wires.

It will also play nice with a wide range of other Wi-Fi equipped gadgets that support DLNA. The WMG160 will retail for around 84GBP, no idea about a price stateside if it ever comes here.

There are plenty of people out there who have no desire to know how to use the advanced features on a smart phone. For this sort of user the most important thing is a phone that is easy to use and has good call quality. Verizon has a new device that fits the bill nicely for these users.

The handset is called the Samsung Gusto and uses a flip phone form factor. It has an external screen and a 2-inch internal screen. The phone supports email and web access and full messaging options. The device also has a VGA resolution camera with night shot mode.
