Onkyo P305A3 NVIDIA Ion Nettop PCOnkyo is offering a new nettop PC with the launch of the Onkyo P305A3, which features NVIDIA’s Ion platform. Under the hood, the Onkyo P305A3 comes with a 1.6GHx Intel Atom N230 processor, NVIDIA’s Ion chipset, a GeForce 9400M graphics card and 2GB of RAM.

Some other specifications include a 160GB hard drive, slot loading DVD burner, a 5-in-1 card reader, built in WiFi, four USB 2.0 ports, eSATA and HDMI. The Onkyo P305A3 NVIDIA Ion Nettop PC will run Windows 7 Home Premium, and will go on sale in Japan for a stunning $771.

Onkyo announces two Windows 7 ready amplifiersOnkyo Japan has announced the TX-NA5007 and TX-NA1007, the company’s first Windows 7 ready amplifiers. The TX-NA5007 (200×9ch) and the TX-NA1007 (180Wx9ch) are both sexy in black and also DLNA compliant. Both support Dolby NR Professional Logic IIz, , Dolby NR TrueHD, DTS-HD Mater and playback of WAV (linear PCM)/WMA (DRM)/WMA Lossless/MP3/AAC/FLAC/Ogg Vorbis formats.

Both the models have plenty of HDMI ports. You’ll find 8 on one and 6 on the other, along with 2 outputs. They should hit Japanese stores by September 11.

This one is compatible with the iPod Touch, iPod classic and iPod Nano, and it’s designed to be used in your home theater setup, featuring digital optical and coaxial audio outputs along with composite A/V outputs.

It can also be connected to your PC or Mac through USB, so you can sync your iPod with iTunes. Of course you’ll get a full featured remote control too.

Onkyo intros two new iPod speaker systemsOnkyo has released two new cool looking iPod speaker systems. The X-T2CR sports a CD player and the X-T2 plays MDs. Both have built-in iPod docks that are compatible with any generation iPod.

Both also feature AM and FM tuners, and A-OMF Cone and 8cm driver units for the speakers. They’re a little more stylish than your average iPod speaker deck, and actually look pretty nice. ipod docks are a dime a dozen and we like to see some that look good occasionally.

Onkyo HDC-1L nettop audio PCOnkyo just released the HDC-1L nettop audio PC, a perfect computer for any small office or room in your home. The computer is specially designed for digital audio playback.

It’s powered by an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor with Intel 945GC Express chipset, running on Windows XP Home Edition and comes with 1GB RAM, 160GB SATA hard drive, DVD SuperMulti drive, Six USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet connectivity and SN ratio of 120dB. The basic HDC-1L is priced at about $640. You can also get the PC with the optional 15-watt stereo speakers priced at $800 and with a 19 inch LCD monitor for $1,070.

If you like your PC to look like retro audio gear you’ll want to check out the Onkyo APX-2 HD audio PC. Onkyo and SOTEC, the Japanese PC manufacturer partnered up on the new APX-2 HD audio PC.

It comes with a Core 2 Duo T5500 @ 1.66GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 500GB of HDD, a digital audio amplifier, an HDD that is stored in a Super Floating HDD Unit, and a noise cancellation box (22dB max) as well as Vista’s volume mixer function and installed Pure Direct Audio Path (PDAP) to prevent audio loss from poor HD audio support. Onkyo worked hard to ensure the APX-2 is as silent as possible. If it sounds as beautiful as it looks, then I’m game.

Onkyo shipping HDMI v1.3a 7.1-channel HTIB

Onkyo HT-SP908Onkyo recently announced a new home theater in a box system which is in tune with the HDMI v1.3a standard. The Onkyo HT-SP908 is priced at around $1,100.

The Onkyo HT-SP908 7.1-channel audio system comes with the company’s TX-SR605 A/V receiver. This receiver has two HDMI v1.3a inputs and one output which are “fully compatible with 1080p video, including DeepColor technology.” The receiver also supports the latest high audio codecs as well as being XM and Sirius satellite radio ready. Basic iPod control and audio playback is offered to the A/V receiver via an included S-A1X Remote Interactive (RI) control dock.
