MSI launches new gaming notebook models

MSI GX620MSI is not a name that is as recognized in the notebook world as Dell, Gateway, or other major notebook makers. MSI is probably better known for computer components like motherboards, but it does have a complete line of notebooks with some interesting features.

MSI recently introduced two new gaming notebooks — the GX620 and the GX720. The GX620 is a 15.4-inch notebook featuring a 1680 x 1050 resolution and running on Windows Vista Home Premium. The notebook uses an Intel Penryn Core 2 Duo P8600 CPU running at 2.4 GHz and graphics are via NVIDIA’s GeForce 9600GT with 512 MB of video RAM. Other features of the notebook include an optional Blu-Ray drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, and more.

MSI PR200 YA EditionMSI is showcasing a number of new and recently released laptops at the Consumer Electronics Show. One of the most colorful in our opinion is the new MSI PR200 YA Edition series.

The MSI PR200 YA Edition series is available in four skin color choices. It sports a 12.1-inch display and is equipped with fingerprint reader technology for advanced security. It’s also HDMI ready and runs off of a Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

MSI PR200 Crystal LaptopMSI, which not too long ago came out with what it called a “turbo” overclocked gaming laptop, is back in laptop news again today with a new notebook dressed up for a night out on the town. The MSI PR200 Crystal Laptop looks to be available now.

The MSI PR200 Crystal Laptop sports a a 120 crystal-studded rim adorning the lid and a “pearl white” sheen body color, designed to capture what MSI calls “luxury and elegance.” On-board tech features include an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 12.1-inch display, 160GB SATA hard drive and HDMI output. It also offers built-in Bluetooth and 802.11 wireless technology.

MSI releases “turbo” overclocked gaming laptop

MSI GX600MSI, a developer of high performance IT products, is out today with an overclocked gaming laptop. The new MSI GX600 is priced at around $1,500.

The MSI GX600 makes use of what MSI calls “Turbo Drive Engine (TDE) technology” to increase the speed of the CPU up to 20 percent by pressing a button. It comes outfitted with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 3D graphic card with 512MB VRAM and a 250GB hard drive.
