Motorola W7 Active EditionMotorola’s latest handset comes in the form of the W7 Active Edition slider, featuring a built-in pedometer and personal trainer application. They don’t call it the active edition for nothing. The Motorola W7 uses simple hand gestures, taps and flicks to perform various functions.

Flip the handset over to silence the ringer during an incoming call, snooze the alarm clock or pause the music. Shake twice to start an application. Some other features of the Motorola W7 include a 2-megapixel camera and 3G.

Calgary to be Motorola’s first Android phoneMotorola’s Calgary really looks awesome and makes you take notice. And it’s on Verizon. According to BGR, the QWERTY slider will be focused on social networking much like the new Sidekick. The only thing we’re unsure about is that flat keyboard. Will it be finger friendly or not?

It looks absolutely sexy. Moto could really have a hit on their hands, with this well-designed Android phone. No word yet as to whether this is slated for Q2 or not.

Motorola i465 press pictures leakedMotorola has done it. With the upcoming Motorola i465 iDEN they have created a full-QWERTY phone that is uglier than the ugliest thing beat by an ugly stick. Well, maybe it’s not that bad. Specific details are sparse but it will likely have a VGA camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and iDEN PTT.

The main selling point seems to be iDEN connectivity with a QWERTY keypad thrown in for messaging friends. No word yet on when Motorola will actually launch the i465, but this should happen via Sprint Nextel in the US.

Motorola Ruby keeps the RAZR look

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on February 23rd, 2009

Motorola Ruby keeps the RAZR lookMotorola must be feeling good about themselves, because they switched up the name a little bit and it isn’t in all caps. But they lose some points for originality since this phone is so similar to the original RAZR. Do they want to sell phones or not?

We’re guessing these aren’t going to move all that well. The Motorola Ruby aka VE1, will feature a 5 megapixel camera and a flip phone design. That’s about all we know.

The navigation pad seems a little odd, but check it out, they’ve included a 3.5mm headset jack that will make a lot of users happy.

Some features include a 3 megapixel camera, Opera Mini browser, QVGA display and a Linux-based OS. It looks good, but with so many options available to users from other manufacturers, the only way this does well is if it has a crazy cheap price.

Moto Kraver Strikes the ‘Brick… And everywhere elseLast night I noticed that Joel at BoingBoing Gadgets discovered an overly in love “fan” of the Motorola Krave who had been trolling their comments for the last few weeks. The dude’s comments seemed oddly familiar. So I checked our own comments here at the ‘Brick. Guess what? He struck here too. A few times.

This brazen bandit doesn’t even wear a mask, freely admitting that he works for Motorola while simultaneously and textually stroking the Krave. Sometimes he mixes it up, but mostly it’s the same old tune, which goes something like this. “This phone is cool, but I think the Motorola Krave is the next big thing hands down. I like the Krave’s touch screen display and 2 megapixel video camera. Check it out online at motorola.com/krave. I’ve been a fan of this thing ever since I started …
