MobiBLU is no stranger to cube-shaped MP3 players or to small ones but this player brings a little something new, however we’re not exactly sure why. This cube-shaped player has controls on its side for playback of MP3 allowing play, pause, volume control and switching tracks. What’s unique is that it will flatten out into the shape of a cross and then fold back up into a cube.

Where this could be useful isn’t exactly clear. Maybe if you needed to slide the player under a door or through a narrow spot? Also I’m wondering how that headphone jack works when it’s flattened out, or when it’s folded up for that matter. The MP3 Nanum measures just 30mm cubed, connects via USB 2.0, has a 1GB storage capacity and supports MP3, WMA and WAV files. MobiBLUE also shows it being available in colors of red, white and green. No word yet on pricing or how we might get this in the states.

This little 1 ounce device is surprisingly loaded with features that a person might not expect from such a small device. Of course it can play music and MPEG4 video, as well as view still photos and stores them on flash memory in sizes of 1GB and 2GB.

The Boxon can also receive FM radio, and record it direct to the device into MP3 files, along with voice and any in-line recording. It also features a sleep mode to promote battery life and fade-in music to keep from scaring listeners when the audio starts.

The company has also released the B153 MP3 player, which is a compact MP3 player with a clear color OLED display that can play MP3, WMA, and protected WMA (DRM) files. It comes in three capacities of 512MB, 1GB and 2GB, and can connect via USB to your computer as a mass storage device, so file transfer is as easy as dragging and dropping.

The B153 also has an FM tuner and can encode files directly from voice or any line-in device right to the file system of the player. The player also comes with pre-installed software called PodcastReady, to make the download of podcasts to the player an easy one-button procedure.
