LG Thrill 4G (Optimus 3D) headed to AT&T

AT&T and LG have announced the LG Thrill 4G. What we have here is basically the AT&T branded version of the LG Optimus 3D, but with a more “thrilling” name. The LG Thrill 4G features a dual core 1GHz processor and Android 2.2 Froyo.

Other features include a 4 inch touchscreen display capable of displaying 3D video without dorky 3D glasses and it also features dual five megapixel stereoscopic cameras that can record HD 3D video in 720p as well. There are no details on when the LG Thrill 4G will be available on AT&T and no pricing details yet.

LG G-Slate shows off on video

A girl named theofficialLGgirl was recently chosen to shoot an advertisement for LG’s G-Slate tablet on T-Mobile. She was given her own G-Slate after the shoot, and has posted a video showing off her experience with the tablet.

Obviously it’s going to be a bit biased, but it does a nice job of showing off the tablet. And it never hurts to have a cute girl if you are selling something right? The tablet runs Honeycomb (Android 3.0) on a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and can display 3D content on the tablet itself if you have 3D glasses. It can also output to the big screen through an HDMI port.

LG releases RVF1000 and AVC2400 Video Conference Tools in South Korea

LG’s RVF1000 and AVC2400 video conference tools are now available to those in South Korea who want to talk business face to face. Both devices are capable of capturing pictures and handling video conference streaming in 720p high-definition.

The LG RVF1000 and AVC2400 also features a 24-inch high resolution LCD and built-in speakers with echo cancellation technology. We don’t have any info on pricing at this time however. We will let you know when we get that info.

T-Mobile G-Slate to cost $699?

The T-Mobile G-Slate was officially announced last month, but we didn’t have any pricing details at the time. Well, now it has appeared on one Online retailers site, available to pre-order for $699.99. MobileCity has the G-Slate listed for $699.99, but they don’t have an availability date.

The G-Slate will be exclusive to T-Mobile in the US and features an 8.9 inch 3D display which can display 3D content with a pair of 3D glasses. It can also display HD video in 1080p, and will come with Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

LG Optimus 3D gets official

LG’s first 3D phone, the LG Optimus 3D will make its stage debut at the Mobile World Congress. The world’s first full 3D experience phone will allow you to view and create 3D content that can be immediately viewed on the phone’s glasses-free 3D display.

The phone features a 1GHz OMAP 4 dual-core processor, a dual-lens camera to record content in 3D, and a 4.3″ (800 × 480) touchscreen that can display glasses-free 3D, HDMI output, and DLNA support. We will be learning more over the next few days.

LG Optimus Pad to make an appearance at Mobile World Congress

The LG Optimus Pad is LG’s latest venture into Honeycomb tablets. Unofficially it’s known as the “G-Slate” for Europe and both tablets share most of the same specs. It features a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, an 8.9″ display (1280 x 768), and full 1080p HD video decoding.

There’s also Android 3.0, a 3D rear camera for capturing 3D to be displayed on a 3D HDTV or with YouTube 3D, a front facing camera for video calling, 32GB of storage, a 6,400mAh battery, and full support for Adobe Flash. It will be shown during Mobile World Congress.

LG Optimus Black to be shown at MWC

The LG Optimus Black first appeared at CES earlier this year and will now be shown off at the Mobile World Congress. It already has over 2 million pre-orders all over the world. It features a 4″ NOVA display that is energy saving without sacrificing its readability under any lighting condition.

There’s also a special Gesture UI, WiFi Direct and a 2 megapixel front facing camera, Android 2.2 and a 1,500mAh battery. A range of special-edition LG Optimus Black designs from the Keith Haring Foundation will be on display at MWC. We should have more details over the next few days.

LG to introduce swipe-and-pay system for mobiles in UK

Come 2012, phones from LG Electronics will be adding more than their usual capabilities with the introduction of near-field communication chips that will handle swipe-and-pay transactions. The technology will allow shoppers to swipe their hand-held device over an electronic reader at the check-out to directly pay for goods and services from their bank account.

Customers will just need to move their phones over the receiving station. One report by Frost & Sullivan says that we could be seeing as many as 860 million NFC mobile phones by 2015.

T-Mobile and LG unveil the G-Slate

Yo G. Check this. T-Mobile and LG have unveiled their first Android tablet called the G-Slate. The device is powered by Android 3.0 and features a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, an 8.9″ display, 32GB of internal storage, a stereoscopic camera that can do 1080p 3D capture, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and a front-facing camera for your video call needs.

It supports 720p HD playback on the tablet itself and HDMI output for 1080p content on 3D and HD displays. The G-Slate’s 3D capabilities will also let users experience 3D HD content on the tablet itself if you wear 3D glasses.

LG unveils super thin bezel monitor display

You’ve seen those video walls that companies use to promote their products. Usually they have thick bezels to match their huge display. Well, LG wants to improve this video wall technology with the 47WV30 47-inch LED super narrow bezel monitor display.

It’s currently being shown off at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2011. The LG 47WV3047-inch LED super narrow bezel monitor display offers a superior image without sacrificing convenience or cost efficiency. The 6.9 mm seam size makes it the slimmest on any 40- to 49-inch display, and it works great indoors or outdoors with brightness as high as 4,000 lux. No word on pricing yet.

LG Optimus 3D to debut at Mobile World Congress

We just spotted this one in the wild and it looks like LG is ready to talk about their upcoming 3D phone. At least in so much as they’ve officially announced that the LG Optimus 3D will make its debut appearance at the Mobile World Congress in Spain, in a few weeks.

The phone is LG’s first venture into 3D smartphones and it will be the first to offer a full 3D experience. LG has even included features that let you create your own 3D content. Other features include a dual-lens camera for 3D recording and a glasses-free LCD panel.

We already knew that LG was working on a glasses-free 3D display which will be featured in the Optimus 3D, and now we the first live images. The display looks larger than 4 inches, though we don’t know the exact size. It will also come with a dual-core processor and have multi-channel RAM. Sounds good to us.

LG LSM-100 mouse is also a scanner

Mice is doing all kinds of crazy stuff lately. The other say we saw a mouse with a built-in speaker and now this one from LG has a scanner on the bottom. The LG LSM-100 mouse can scan a small area quickly while also keeping track of your mouse’s movement.

The integrated 5 LED, 300 dpi scanner isn’t going to blow you away with quality images, but still, it’s a great idea. No word on pricing or availability right now though.

LG to unveil Honeycomb tablet at CES 2011

According to the Korea Times, LG is looking to unveil some cool stuff at next year’s Consumer Electronics Show. That’s not unusual in itself, but we’re talking about their dual-core Android phone, the Optimus 2X, mobile 3D TVs, and drumroll please…their very first Android tablet.

The Optimus Pad will feature an 8.9″ touchscreen display and run on Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb. This tablet will fit squarely between the iPad’s 10″ display and the Galaxy Tab’s 7″ display.

LG launching Mobile 3D TV at CES 2011

Yesterday we heard about the new 72 inch LED 3D TV from LG, and now we learn that LG also has some smaller 3D TVs planned. Much smaller. The company will be launching a mobile 3D TV.

The company will reveal this new 3D mobile TV at CES 2011. The device will be powered by an LG2161R MDTV chip with NRT (non Real Time) technology and be able to receive 3D TV signals when you are traveling at speeds of up to 200 km/h. So feel free to watch a lot of content in your fast car. Preferably while someone else is driving.
