HTC Leo to Be Officially Known as HTC HD 2 |
Putting HD in your name is all the rage. The thinking must be that if you put HD in your moniker, they will come, buy it, brag about it, be happy and buy your next device as well. So the HTC Leo is jumping on that same bandwagon and laughing maniacally.
The Leo, or HD2, is that large and in charge handset that we saw earlier this month. The HTC HD 2 will sport a 4.3-inch display, which is awesome for video and it looks like it will have a micro-USB connector as well.

It’s official. Sprint has officially announced the HTC Hero for their network. The handset will be coming October 11th for $179.99 after various rebates. Looks like the same internal specs apply with Exchange Active Sync, and Sense UI, plus Sprint TV.
We have some more details on HTC’s upcoming high end smartphone, the HTC Leo, including some new pictures. Here’s the skinny: The HTC Leo runs a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, is only 11mm thin, features a 4.3 inch screen, and will run Windows Mobile 6.5, as well as sporting a 5 megapixel camera with built in auto focus and a 2 LED flash.
The HTC Touch Pro2 is available on a bunch of carriers around the world but not in the US. So the announcement of Touch Pro2 on T-Mobile is good news indeed. The phone is expected to be released on August 12 but we don’t yet have any details on the price.
There’s no way to know for sure if this is the real deal or not, but this is purportedly a leaked render of the HTC Firestone. Here are some specs to go along with it: GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS900, UMTS2100. Windows Mobile 6.5. 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen. A Qualcomm 8250 processor at 600MHz. 512MB ROM/256MB RAM. Amazon.co.uk is now offering the HTC Hero for pre-order. The Android handset has been listed to retail for £429.99 each. July 15th is the expected shipping date, but nothing is certain so don’t be surprised if the date changes.
