Gigabyte S1080 Windows 7 Tablet now available for US pre-order

It is already available in Taiwan, and it has even hit Australia, now it’s our turn for Gigabyte’s big Windows 7 tablet. The S1080 features a 320GB drive, dual-core Atom N570, Ethernet port, and for some unknown reason, VGA output.

All you need is $650 and it ships on July 1st. Other features include 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 1.3 megapixel webcam and a USB 3.0 port. If you have been waiting for this one, now is your chance.

Gigabyte M2432 Notebook and Docking Station Unveiled at Computex

At Computex 2011 Gigabyte has announced a new notebook computer with a neat docking station called the Booktop M2432. The machine packs in an Intel Core i5 processor, USB 3.0 ports, THX TruStudio Pro, and more.

The screen is a 14-inch LED backlit unit with 1366 x 768 resolution. Other features include Intel HD 3000 graphics onboard, support for HD movies and more. The machine weighs 1.81 kg and is 27.6 mm thick.

Gigabyte debuts convertible netbook

gigabyte_t1028x-sbNetbooks are huge right now with the little machines racking up sales numbers that traditional notebooks are having a hard time matching. The sweet spot for netbooks today is the 10.1-inch screen size and Gigabyte has announced a new convertible netbook that should appeal to many users.

The machine is called the T1028x and its 10.1-inch screen is touch sensitive. The machine has a 6-cell battery with 54wh or power, so its run time should be pretty good. Other features include a screen resolution of 1366 x 768, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an ExpressCard 34 slot.
