The new
When Dell first debuted its sexy Adamo notebook back in March, I really wanted one until I laid eyes on the price. I think Dell may have forgotten that we were in a recession and only cheap netbooks were selling well when they priced the machine at about $2,000.
If you’re looking to lighten your laptop load and go for an ultra-light model, (Who wouldnt?) Dell has debuted its 14-inch and 15.6-inch Insprion Z series portables. Both models have pretty much the same specs: up to a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 with GMA X4500HD graphics, 1366 x 768 resolution, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, 802.11a/b/g/draft-N, Bluetooth, a 7-in-1 card reader, 1.3 megapixel camera, and a 6-cell battery.
The color of a device may not be the biggest factor that you consider when contemplating a purchase, but it’s always nice to know that you have options when it comes to buying a Dell XPS. At least your Wii won’t be so lonely now.
Dell’s Inspiron 11z notebook is finally ready for the masses, starting at a cheap $399 and going up from there. Some specs include: 1.2GHz Intel Celeron 723 CULV processor, Intel GS45 integrated graphics, 11.6″ display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive,Wi-Fi connectivity, and 1.3-megapixel webcam.
We’ve seen the new
Remember the
Dell has announced a strange one today. A Dell mini that sports designs based on Nickelodeon’s Slime motif and hit shows like SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly. You are probably already familiar with the Dell mini 10.1″ specifications, but obviously Dell is aiming these at children.
Dell has introduced three new LCD monitors on the quiet. The models in question are the Dell ST2310 for $229, the E2210H for $199 and E2010H for $139. They are available in 23″, 22″ and 20″ sizes. This trio is aimed at movie junkies, as they sport extra wide 16:9 aspect ratios.
The Dell Adamo is an impressive laptop. If it has one major problem, it’s the price. We hear ya. Times are tough Dell. How about a little stimulous plan or something? Well, Dell may not feel your pain, but it does want your money so they’ve lowered the price in order to get it.
Today Dell filled out its mainstream notebook line with the Inspiron 17. The desktop notebook is rocking the same 16:9 aspect ratio display and thinner, more efficent LED backlighting as newer Inspirons but, matching its 17.3-inch size, has a higher 1600×900 resolution as standard. Processors are also faster and scale up to a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo.
You crazy kids today with your crazy custom artwork on your computer lids. When I was a kid our fancy spreadsheet boxes were plain black or white. And get the hell off my lawn. Dell has just brought the Inspiron 15 into the Design Studio fold, so you’ll be able to select graphics from a bunch of artists to dress up your system.
