BenQ Announces TH681 HD and 3D Home Projector

BenQ TH681 HD Home ProjectorBenQ announced on Thursday their planned release of the TH681 Full HD Home Projector. The TH681 boasts a bright display of 3000 lumens for a 1080p resolution picture with a 10,000:1 high contrast ratio. It is also capable of showing 3D media, provided you have a device that will play 3D content and you bring your 3D glasses.

The projector uses Eco-Smart technology to help with power consumption and provides a lamp life of up to 6500 hours when utilizing the Eco-Smart mode. It also comes with all of the standard ports such as HDMI, RGB, Composite, S-Video, Mini-Jack, RCA and USB. It even includes a single 10W speaker if for some reason your not sporting surround sound with your projection.

The BenQ TH681 is planning its availability on March 26th, and pricing is expected to be around $1200 USD …

BenQ VW2220H 21.5-inch Full HD LCD TV

BenQ has launched the VW2220H 21.5-inch Full HD LCD TV in Japan. This monitor features a 178 degree viewing angle horizontally and vertically, a brightness level of 250cd/m2, a 5,000:1 contrast ratio and LED backlighting. That’s not all.

The new Full HD LCD TV also packs in Senseye technology, which aims to recreate the true colors of the world using its six proprietary calibration settings: Standard, Movie, Photo, sRGB, Game and Eco. The BenQ VW2220H 21.5-inch Full HD LCD TV is 19,800 Yen or about $247.

BenQ G615HDPL 15.6-Inch LCD Monitor

BenQ’s latest LCD monitor, the G615HDPL, for the Japanese market is a 15.6-inch LED-backlight monitor with 1366 x 768 native resolution and a 500:1 contrast ratio (DCR 1,000,000:1).

It also boasts 200 cd/m2 brightness, an 8ms response time and it consumes just 7W during normal operation (5W in Eco Mode). So it shouldn’t cost you a lot on your electric bill. As far as connectivity ports, it has a mini D-Sub 15 pin and that’s it. The G615HDPL retails for about 12,000 Yen ($146).

BenQ BL2201PT 22-inch Multifunction LCD Monitor

BenQ Japan, like it has done so many times before, has launched the new BenQ BL2201PT 22-inch multifunction LCD monitor on the Japanese market. This handy 22” LED Backlight Monitor goes by the model number BL2201PT.

Those who live in Japan will be able to purchase this WSXGA+ monitor starting March 31st, 2011. It’s priced at 19,800 Yen and the BenQ BL2201PT features a 1000:1 contrast ratio along with a 5ms response time.

BenQ announces two new 24-inch LED monitors

BenQ has two new monitors, the EW2430 and EW2430V. Both feature a 24-inch HD panel that uses LED backlighting and vertical alignment (VA) technology, along with a native contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and eight-bit color, two HDMI ports, D-Sub, and DVI.

The EW2430V features “smart focus” highlighting, image resolution upconversion, 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and picture-in-picture. There’s also 3D deinterlacing and noise reduction. No info on pricing yet for these two, but they will arrive first in Europe and the Asia Pacific later this month.

BenQ GL2430HM Full HD Monitor

BenQ has unveiled another Full HD monitor in the form of the GL2430HM. It uses BenQ’s Senseye 3 Human Vision Technology for enhancing the color, clarity and contrast of whatever video content you are watching.

This 24-inch LED-backlit monitor delivers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness and a 5ms response time. As far as connectivity ports, it offers DVI-D, D-Sub and HDMI.

BenQ also has an Android tablet

BenQ is known for its computer monitors, and since a tablet is just a powerful monitor wrapped around a computer, they want in on the tablet game too. The company has just announced its Android-powered tablet, called the BenQ nReader R100.

The tablet is powered by a 667MHz Samsung ARM-based processor and is capable of running Android 2.2 Froyo, though we aren’t sure if the device will be shipping with Android 2.2. Some other features include a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 pixel resistive touchscreen display, HDMI output, 12-hour battery life, Wi-Fi and 3G.

BenQ EW and VW series Vertical Alignment LED monitors

BenQ has unveiled its EW and VW series Vertical Alignment LED monitors which are apparently the first of their kind in the world. The VA LED-based panels are said to offer superior color reproduction, an ultra high contrast ratio, the ability to display blacks more accurately and minimize light leakage.

The BenQ EW series will be aimed at digital video enthusiasts more than regular Joes since it features a wider range of ports for video viewing. The VW series monitors feature DVI, D-Sub, HDMI 1.3 and headphone connectivity options. The VW2420 and EW2420 models will hit Taiwan first followed by a worldwide release in August.

BenQ Joybook R48 Multimedia Laptop

BenQ’s latest offering is designed for bloggers, gamers, and those who love multimedia. The BenQ Joybook R48 features an Intel Core i3 processor, a 14-inch (1366 x 768) display screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 graphics card.

Another interesting feature of the Joybook R48 is that it comes packaged with the SRS CS headphones. It also supports up to 4GB DDR3 RAM and up to a 500GB HDD, 2-Watt speakers, an HDMI port, Wi-Fi, a 1.3MP webcam and an eSATA slot.

BenQ GL series LCDs with 12,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio

BenQ’s new GL series of monitors boast a 12,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. It’s the industry’s highest and, according to BenQ, helps to add “color depth and definition to darkened and complex visuals.” Aside from that, the 18.5-inch GL930, 19-inch GL931, 20-inch GL2030, 21.5-inch GL2230 and 22-inch GL2231 models each have fairly standard specs.

We don’t have specs on all the models yet, but some of those specs include a 5ms response time, LED backlighting, and a 1,600 x 900 resolution on the 20-incher, which will be the first model available in July.

BenQ intros three green, 1080p 24-inch monitors

BenQ has several LED-backlit LCD monitors on the way, including the widescreen V2410T, V2410B and the E2420HDB. The first two models come with 24″ displays, native 1080p resolution, height-adjustable stands and a 5ms response time.

The E2420HDB forgoes the LED panel, although it does have native 1080p resolution, 300 lumens of brightness, a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a 5ms response time. All three models have Senseye image enhancement settings that will change depending on the application and display mode hotkeys lets you play back images with different aspect ratios aside from 16:9.

BenQ has the slimmest LCD of them all

BenQ is all about staying ahead of the competition in displays with the V2220. It features 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, but the real kicker here is that it is just 15mm thick, which makes it the thinnest 21.5 monitor available.

It supports HDMI and headphone connection options, with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 250 nits of brightness, 1000:1 real contrast ratio and a 5ms response time. The display will be launched in Taiwan within in a few months, and will be available everywhere else in June.

BenQ unveils K60 nReader

BenQ unveils K60 nReaderBenQ is hitting the e-Book market with the nReader K60. The device has a 6-inch touchscreen e-paper display that uses SiPix Microcup technology to produce a native resolution of 800 x 600 pixels with 167 dots-per-inch and 16 grey scale.

The nReader K60 features 2GB of storage, which will hold roughly 4000 books and if you ned more it’s got a microSD card slot for more storage. Some other features include WiFi, a mini USB port, USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The K60 supports a variety of file formats including ePub, PDF, TXT, HTML, JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, and MP3.

BenQ offers LED-backlit G920WL and G922HDL displaysBenq is still offering up the green displays. The latest come in the form of the G920WL, a 19-inch 1,440 x 900 display, and the G922HDL which is the same, only 18.5-inches and 1,366 x 768. Both are claiming impressive power efficiency, with their Eco mode using only 10 and 11 watts.

They also come with the company’s new SensEye 3 auto-calibration utility, 250 nits of brightness, 5 millisecond response time, and a real, non-dynamic 1,000:1 contrast ratio. These new G models are all set for immediate release in Europe and Asia.
