Alpine iXA-W407 Digital Media StationAlpine’s latest iXA-W407 Digital Media Station supports iPod/iPhone playback (Sorry CD users, it won’t do CDs anymore) and sports a large 7″ QVGA touchscreen display along with integrated Bluetooth connectivity and other features.

The iXA-W407 is available as an all-in-one audio/video/navigation system package that includes the NVE-M300 GPS Navigation Drive. This all-in-one AVN package from Alpine will cost you a cool $1100. You can also connect USB devices and MTP-based MP3 players using the USB input.

Alpine iXA W404R 2 DIN iPod Digital Media StationToday Alpine announced the launch of its first 2-DIN ScrollView touch control Digital Media Station, the Alpine iXA-W404R 2-DIN iPod Digital Media Station. The Alpine iXA-W404R is an iPod controller that offers the choice of control by using either the double-action rotary button or the 4.3-inch QVGA color touch-screen.

The device features an AM/FM radio, a USB port and is compatible with any Apple product. It can also be connected with an Alpine GPS navigation system and a Bluetooth Interface Module. The Alpine iXA-W404R 2-DIN iPod Digital Media Station is priced at 499.99 GBP.

Alpine eX-10Alpine Electronics has always had a knack for developing interesting electronics for the automobile. Its newest in-car iPod controller, the eX-10, is certainly no exception. It’s priced at around $200.

The Alpine eX-10 is designed to work with a car’s factory installed audio system to deliver iPod music and Bluetooth interaction. It consists of a dash-top unit and remote control. Alpine says the eX-10 is its first iPod plug and play product, connecting to any dock-enabled iPod via a cable. With this one can listen to iPod music via FM transmission or line out. The dash-top unit’s display and remote let one view and control a variety of iPod functions.

Alpine ships 2nd generation Blackbird GPS unit

Alpine Blackbird PMD-B200Automotive electronics company Alpine said shipments of a new portable navigation device began. The Alpine Blackbird PMD-B200 is priced at around $750.

The Alpine Blackbird PMD-B200 is the second generation of its Blackbird GPS navigation platform. It runs off of the Windows CE system. A built-in hard drive stores maps for all of the United States and Canada, including six million points of interest. Maps can be viewed a variety of ways and directions can be offered in turn-by-turn voice instruction.
