Sony’s launching a new clock radio as one of the first that are compatible with the iPhone. The ICF-ClipMK2 comes with a wireless remote control that can run the docked iPod or iPhone (when in iPod mode) and can also control the devices radio stations and volume.

The dock is adjustable to fit different sizes of iPods without them wiggling around and will charge the iPod when docked. There’s also an inline port for connecting other media players to hear through the speakers.

Forget batteries or an outlet. How about a clock that is powered by any liquid? Well, almost any. You wouldn’t want it to run on urine, though I bet it would work. Once you fill it up, the LCD display will provide the time and date while it draws power from the electrons in the water.

It’s cheap at $13 and if you already have plants to water, you won’t forget to water your clock. Of course, if you have been known to kill plants, you will probably be clueless as to what time it is. Just make it easy on yourself by giving the clock a drink everytime you have one and you should be alright. I can’t figure out what the mirror finish is all about.

Revo, a British radio maker, launched the Blik Wi-Fi clock radio late last year providing a clock radio that can pick up local FM stations or over 6,000 internet radio stations around the world. The device connects wirelessly to your home Wi-Fi connection and will list the internet radio stations alphabetically organized by country or music genre.

The Blik can also stream in audio content from the digital audio stored on a PC or Mac through the Wi-Fi network, and can connect directly to an iPod providing simple speakers for your player through the Blik M-port. And of course it works as a clock radio with an alarm, waking you up to your favorite local or internet radio station. It also features a wireless infra-red remote, a jack for headphones and an interesting design that comes in black or white.

The bible inspiration clock strikes me as a very useful tool for the religious. It’s not only a clock that has a 5 minute sound chip that plays religious music and quotes from inspirational sections from the Bible, to wake you up, it could also potentially keep evil away from your bedside. We all know that demons and evil entities hate crosses, but what many don’t know is that they hate technology almost as much.

Imagine tucking little Rod and Todd in for the night, saying your final Okaly-dokay’s and sleeping soundly knowing that you’re safe and can be easily preached at first thing in the morning.

iPod accessory maker XtremeMac announced at MacWorld today a new version of its popular Luna iPod radio clock. This one is known as the XtremeMac Luna X2 and it is priced at around $120.

The XtremeMac Luna X2 offers up an integrated iPod dock and two full range speakers driven by a “hi-dynamic” power amplifier. This radio clock sports dual alarms and will let you be awakened to a buzzer, AM/FM radio or your docked iPod. There’s the ability to adjust the volume gain as well so you can gradually wake up without loud noise making you jump from bed.

With so many iPod accessories on the market today it’s tough to make one stand out from the others, especially with clock radio docks. JVC is making an attempt to stand out this year and unveiling this clock radio at the Consumer Electronics Show which that docks not just one but two iPods, making it twice as good, right?

The JVC NX-PN7 dock features a clock and timer and we’re making an assumption that it has an alarm that will play music from the iPod, but JVC did not mention that specifically. It would also be nice if this clock radio was a dual alarm that would play a different iPod with the different alarm, but unfortunately there was no mention of that either.

I bring you more CES 2008 goodness. The On Time 200ID lets you wake up to your iPod, iPhone, radio, or a simple buzzer. If you want to connect other devices, it also has a 1/8th-inch line input. The one-piece speaker has a backlit LCD as well as touch-sensitive controls, and a backup battery to preserve your settings if power is interrupted.

The On Time 400IHD is pretty similar, but adds dual alarms and an HD Radio receiver for picking up HD stations. It also supports iTunes tagging; just press a button when you hear something you like, and when you sync your iPod in iTunes, it will let you find and buy it quickly.

I’m pretty sure the Coneheads own this weather forecaster from Oregon Scientific. If they don’t, they should see if they have a baby missing. This one has 2001: A Space Odyssey type good looks for sure. It’s definitely a flashback to 1960s space-age and Eames era decorating style. The BAR210 features easy-to-read numbers, and you can switch easily between time and temperature with a wave of your hand.

Colorful weather forecast icons will light up to indicate sun, rain or clouds, so you’ll know what the weather is like with just a glance. It will show you either indoor or outdoor temperatures with the included wireless temperature sensor. Time is automatically set with a remote atomic clock, so the time can’t get more accurate. The price is $47.95.

This retro looking radio has a very simple design marrying the old with the new. It’s powered via the USB port on your computer and will give you the current time and weather conditions. It features two round portal like displays on the front. One display shows you the current week on the top, the hour and minute, and the bottom part displays the year, month and date. The other display gives you information about humidity and temperature.

It’s also available in a smaller version with a few features missing. Instead it has a count down function and a birthday reminder. I just like the fact that these remind me of my grandfather’s electronics. They are basic with no bells and whistles. Sometimes it’s nice to have something low-key.

That wacky gadget importer Chinavasion is at it again. The Time Cube is a new take on the tradition clock. This clock will look like an ordinary cube only briefly each day, mostly it forms star-like geometric patterns.

The idea is that the cube is actually made up of triangles that rotate to tell you the current time. Like most of these odd clocks, it’s fairly easy to tell the time. The largest triangle shows you the hours, while the middle one shows minutes, and the one spins like a second hand. If you don’t have enough geometry in your life, or if you just like watching squares turn into stars, go ahead and grab one for only $12.

If you travel all over the place, constantly passing in and out of different time zones, you’re bound to feel like a disoriented time traveler. That’s where this handy gadget comes to the rescue. It’s made by Waals. Just set the time once and you are covered for any time zone in the world.

It’s a fairly simple solution. Cities are listed around the clock representing every time zone in the world. Let’s say you are flying out to Tokyo, just roll the cylinder so that Tokyo is facing up and the hands will automatically be positioned in the correct place. The clock won’t roll around, confusing you with a different time, thanks to the small studs on the sides, keeping it in place. Pretty handy item.

I for one have always dreamed of having a room devoted entirely to retro gaming arcade goodness. This little clock is a perfect addition to my fantasies.
