Posted in Games by Reuben Drake on June 28th, 2011

This isn’t much of a surprise considering how well the game has done everywhere, but according to ChartTrack, Call of Duty: Black Ops has now become the UK’s best selling game of all time, beating its closest rival, Modern Warfare 2.

Since its launch last November, 3,722,411 copies of the game have been sold in the UK alone. Posted in Tablet PC by Reuben Drake on June 27th, 2011

The Infinite Loop Tablet/Phone Stand is an ergonomic, portable and generally useful stand for tablets and smartphones. That’s because it can be molded into any shape and if you need it for something else you can use the suction caps and adjustable side clips.

When you are done, the whole stand can be rolled up into a circle and put away. Tim Gushue needs just $27,500 to make it a reality. If you donate more than $19, you are in the pre-order pool automatically. Nice idea.

Sonic the Hedgehog cake

Posted in Games by Reuben Drake on June 27th, 2011

It’s been awhile since we featured a cool geeky cake and this one qualifies. Makes me hungry just looking at it. If I could, I would run circles around this cake like Sonic himself as I gobbled up those rings, that icing and all the rest of it.

And I wouldn’t share. This would strictly be a one player game. It would be delicious. Sega-licious.

HP announces Pivot for TouchPad

Posted in HP by Reuben Drake on June 23rd, 2011

It’s not always easy to find apps, but HP doesn’t have that problem. Their App Catalog for the webOS 3.0 TouchPad launches on July 1st. At first it might seem a bit bare, but HP plans to load it up with apps in the near future.

Think of Pivot as a curated digital magazine that shows you a selection of apps someone at HP wants you to see. Find things easier. That’s what we like. It’s great for users to discover new downloads and for developers to not get lost in the crowd. This should be interesting.

Motorola has decided to give it a major overhaul and it should arrive this year, with a release date that is oh so close. And yet so far away.

If we can believe a tweet from the Motorola Mobility account, the phone is on track for its summer release, but we don’t have an exact date was provided.
