Nintendo sells millionth 3DS unit in Japan

Posted in Nintendo 3DS by Conner Flynn on June 13th, 2011

A million in Japanese sales is pretty awesome, but even Satoru Iwata admits that the 3DS isn’t doing quite as well as they had hoped. It took a little while but Nintendo’s 3DS handheld hit the million mark after 13 weeks, which is a long time compared to the original dual-screen handheld, which accomplished this in four.

In comparison, the PSP sold its first million in about seven weeks. The 3DS could still hit the top spot, but remember, the PlayStation Vita is coming. They should be scared.

Inflatable Pillow Tie

Posted in Apparel by Conner Flynn on June 13th, 2011

Working in the office can be tiring. If only you were wearing something that could inflate into a pillow. Well, you can. The pillow tie is a neck tie pillow. If you get tired just blow it up and lay your head down for a little nap.

Sure, it doesn’t look that great, but your nap is more important than looks. A tie is a tie, but being refreshed by taking a little siesta is priceless. Or in this case $19.99.

Microsoft gives the Xbox 360 Slim a hardware update

Posted in Xbox 360 by Conner Flynn on June 13th, 2011

Microsoft is planning another hardware update for the Xbox 360. This new update is all under the hood and won’t affect the look of the machine very much if at all. New Xbox 360 slim consoles will come with a new System on a Chip that will put the CPU, GPU, system memory and I/O logic all on the same piece of silicon.

This should make the console quieter, allow it to have an even smaller power pack and also generate less heat. It will actually be cheaper to manufacture than the old multi-chip system, so Microsoft will make more profit on each console sold.

iLive Clock Radio iPhone dock

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on June 13th, 2011

Here is an iPhone dock that cleverly uses the iPhone’s display. The iLive Clock Radio Dock has a clock face with no 12, but when you dock your iPhone it becomes a whole clock, with all of the numbers and clock hands.

It will charge your iPhone and act as a clock at the same time. Only problem is that when your phone is not docked, it is a useless clock missing the 12. Still, it’s pretty cool for $49.99. What do you think?

AT&T will release the A501 in the second quarter of 2011, so we should see the device very soon even though we have no info on pricing.
