R/C cars steered by Android smartphones |
R/C cars are fun. Almost every kid has played with one at some point. Now the BlueDrone project wants to use your Android smartphone as a controller and get rid of those clunky remotes. The concept pairs the car with the Bluetooth-enabled handset and allows you to maneuver it with your phone using the onscreen controls.
It delivers a drive time of 3 hours with a range of about 30 feet. The custom app will let the driver use the accelerometer to steer as an alternative to the onscreen wheel as well. They just need $200,000 to commercialize the project. We hope they get it.
