Samsung Launches ‘Smart View’ App

Posted in Samsung by Reuben Drake on June 8th, 2011

Samsung has just released the Smart View app for the Samsung Galaxy S II which allows users to stream images and videos from their TVs onto their phone. So now you can watch what you want anywhere. In bed, outside even in the bathroom if you so desire.

It works with the Samsung Smart TV transmitting the data over WiFi, while the phone uses the app to receive the video. You can also make use of any Smart TV apps that have been installed on the TV for added functionality on your Galaxy S II phone. The Samsung Smart View is available on the Android Market for the Samsung Smart TV D7000, D8000, and D9500 series. Right now the Samsung Galaxy S II is the only phone that supports it, but Samsung is planning to release it for the Galaxy player (YP-GB70) in July, the original Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab later this year.
