YouTube to support 3D mobile uploads

Posted in 3D by Conner Flynn on February 14th, 2011

YouTube and LG has announced that it will start accepting mobile uploads in 3D, allowing users to share 3D videos. LG’s Optimus 3D will be the first to have the option, with its glasses-free display, allowing it to support much of the 3D content that it records.

We don’t have any specific details, but it should mean that any device with stereoscopic 3D should support it too. This move will allow amateur 3D video to be easily spread and distributed via Youtube for us all to see.
