Samsung Windows Phone 7 owners phones “bricked” after update

Posted in Microsoft by Conner Flynn on February 22nd, 2011

Here’s some not so good news for Microsoft. After releasing the Windows Phone 7 update this week, it looks like some users out there have ended up with a bricked phone, having no way to fix it except for a factory reset or returning it to the store.

Apparently it is only affecting a small number of people, but what is your definition of a small number? Hopefully they can resolve this issue very quickly and take care of these users. Interestingly, this was only a minor update, so we hope that Microsoft will learn from it’s mistakes here.
