Vizio uses Rose Bowl to tease upcoming tablet

Posted in Tablet PC by Conner Flynn on January 2nd, 2011

Vizio has used this year’s Rose Bowl to tease the company’s upcoming tablet device. The company is known for their LCD TV’s, not tablets. Vizio chief sales officer Randy Waynick demonstrates the device in a message that aired during the half-time break.

He also talks about Vizio’s desire to create products that deliver “entertainment freedom for all,” and the ability to view games on their LCD TVs or “any of their great new products, from anywhere”. In the spot, the tablet appears to stream match content directly to the device. Video below.

We have no other details of the device, or when it might launch. And we don’t have a price. But it looks like Android.
