Posted in Cameras by Conner Flynn on January 26th, 2011

Ricoh’s new CX5 point and shoot camera sports a 10-megapixel sensor and a 10.7x, 28-300mm zoom lens. It also sports a new, ultra-fast autofocus speed up to just two-tenths of a second with a hybrid autofocus system, which uses a passive distance sensor along with usual contrast AF and can lock on in about half the time of the CX4.

The camera also features a Super-resolution setting and a Super-resolution Zoom that doubles the maximum focal length to the equivalent of 600mm with minimal image degradation. Other features include new scene modes, a 920,000-pixel LCD and the camera can record 720p HD movies.
