Hanvon is readying their first high-resolution e-Book reader, the ‘WISEreader E920′ for the already crowded mass market. The device is due to be out in June 2011 and will feature a 9.7-inch display with a 200 dpi resolution.

Other features include a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), a text-to-speech function, Chinese to English translation and a long-lasting battery good for up to 15 days in standby mode or over 10,000 pages of reading. There’s no info on pricing yet though.

Amazon and to a lesser extent Barnes and Noble, have the ereader market locked up. To compete, you now need an Android tablet that’s $399 or less. This reader is already FAIL. Too little too late.
